My lemon makes a breakfast drink, gives vitamins & trees. Like almond waffles, h**p milk, LOVE my vinaigrettes & teas!

My ceramic strawberry sadly broke, red African winds to blame! A favourite flea market treasure, so I kept it all the same!

My neon pen’s my favourite torch, feel super blessed to own. For it lights my series’ passageways as I travel them alone!

My tile, a classic cortijo craft. Fired earth is antique art! An amulet to manifest my dream home, cobbled courtyard, oranges, hearth!

My dinosaur’s one of many, painted in ‘Casa Misty’ blue. A plastic toy dipped in turquoise, reminding me of climate change… the zoo!

My silicon spatula bastes the finest, Gaucin virgin olive oil. To grill padrónes a la plancha, ‘till the vacas come

The poker deck, home of many hands, winners and losers, straights and aces, trips, pairs, highs and lows, testing my mettle, reading my opponents, calculating the odds, going all in or folding in hopeful anticipation of the next deal

The tube of paint, crimson, the color of blood and shadow, of a splattered masterpiece or indelible mess, transformed when mixed with other pigments, not unlike us

The Swiss Army Knife, the great tool, turning youth into the skilful carver, bottle opener, fish scaler, screw turner, bone cutter, cutting away the thickets that block one’s path allowing the possessor to continue his never-ending journey through boyhood

The brush of fine hair, held by a ferrule attached to the hollow bone of a bird that flew across the sea, to lay blush upon a Majarani´s cheek to offset the blue fire in her eyes

A terra cotta vase, a mini palace to accommodate a single rose, guarded by a battalion of thorns ensuring the full course of her brief radiant life in bloom

The ink cartridge from which will emerge the picture of a thousand words, points of enlightenment and images of darkness, predictions of the past in the presence of the future, creation forming out of a dark mass

The Union Jack party hat… celebrating the Queen’s platinum jubilee of her reign where we all wore these hats and ate trifle so good its recipe was made at Fortnum & Mason… months later Queen Elizabeth the 2nd died and I felt as though I had lost my grandmother

The spatula knife. Essential for mixing up cement and laying it out, musing up colours… must keep these clean or they rust up something awful

A jar of gold pigment ink… gives a golden lustre to everything

Uvas wine bottle cork. Bloody good wine this and at an affordable price, dangerously yummy

A castańa … smoky blossoms of fun prevalent everywhere in Andalusian summertime

My trusty oh so comfortable fake Birkenstock slides… very comfy in the studio

A toy trailer. Due to my love of collecting miniature metal cars, I found this trailer in the Sabinillas market, I am very fond of it. It was made in Spain

Silver magnifying glass, Christmas gift for someone very special, it is always present in my living room

An egg cup. I always saw it as a child in my parents' house, now there are no shortages in my house, and of course we use it frequently, I love it

Spanish English Dictionary. I am a book lover. I found this dictionary in a garbage container in the street, for me it was like finding a gift.I think it’s a very special edition with gold lettering on the cove

Painting shoes, they are my first painting shoes, in the meantime I have added others, but none are as red under the traces of work as these
Measuring tape, a gift from my canvas supplier in Berlin
Car number plate from Rome, where I lived for 6 years in this lifetime. My brother " borrowed " the sign from a car for me to give me a special souvenir of the eternal city. The number plates with the city name "Roma" written on them no longer exist
"Äffle" is a full member of our family. When Basil and Zeno, our children, were still in their early age it used to accompany us in the car, on the plane, in everyday life, and it still does today as a permanent resident in our kitchen in Gaucín. It has a voice and what it has to say is often rather naughty to me. I don't think "Äffle" likes me very much, but I love this cheeky little creature
