We install, back water valves, check valves and we can come certify your back flow prevention devices. We have our cross-connection designation. From residential plumbing systems to private sewer systems. Cistern pumps, level alarm systems, and sump pumps. Acreages with private sewer systems, new installs or replacements.

We are hiring!!
Actual Mechanical is looking for a punctual, hard working and organized journeyman plumber/gasfitter.
The position is mainly new construction commercial and some multi-unit residential work sites. The position is for steady in-town work. (no camp work). If you are looking for long term employment with a company that has opportunities to grow, then this is a job for you.
This position is to work on projects in the Edmonton area. In general, we work a standard Monday to Friday schedule, with 40-44 hour work weeks. We do not typically do weekends, evenings or overtime. We are offering a long term employment position, not like many companies these days that only hire to complete a job and then lay off.
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation is required, with no exceptions.
- Commercial and residential plumbing experience is required.
- Service work experience is an asset.
Must be residing in Canada
3rd year up to Journeyman experience
Willing and able to work in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication and listening skills
Good Mechanical and Technical skills
Must be able to read/follow blueprints
Must be punctual
Must be physically able to lift up to 50 lbs
Prior experience in the following will be considered an asset:
CSTS-09
First Aid
Fall protection
Aerial / Lift truck -Work platform training
Journeyman Ticket - Plumber/Gasfitter

Friendly reminder from your plumber friends at Actual. Most houses have one of these (sump pumps) in the basement. With all the rain lately, it is a good idea to check yours. Make sure it is working. Pumps wear out and stop. Replacements are easy to do, and you can add an alarm to the sump for extra piece of mind. It's also important to regularly check the outside discharge drain. Make sure it is sending all that water away from your foundation. Any questions, give our office a call.
The office will be closed from Dec 24 to Jan 2.

It probably won't be this obvious, but keep an eye out for leaks as it warms up. This many days of extreme cold can freeze in spots that are not usually a problem. Frozen pipes can burst and it can be days later when the water is no longer frozen, that's when you will see the leak!

Actual can provide plumbing and gas lines for renovations to your existing building or complete systems for brand new construction.
We specialize in Commercial plumbing systems, radiant panel heating, boiler systems, in floor heating and snow melt systems. Actual can also provide residential plumbing systems and certified to install private sewer systems for rural applications. Including: Cistern pumps, level alarm systems, and sump pumps.
Actual Mechanical is certified to test your back flow devices. (We have our cross-connection designation). The City of Edmonton requires all commercial tenants with water service to have these devices tested annually. We also install back water valves, check valves and we can repair or replace them as needed.
