What is ENERGY STAR® Certification?
ENERGY STAR® is a government-endorsed certification that identifies products from various industries that meet stringent energy performance standards. The ENERGY STAR® symbol is proof a product has been independently tested and verified to deliver superior energy efficiency. In any given industry, only the top 15% to 30% of products meet the rigorous energy efficiency standards held by ENERGY STAR®.
In the window industry specifically, a company must have its windows tested by an accredited third party to be considered for ENERGY STAR® certification. Our windows and doors have surpassed industry standards through extensive heat-loss and/or air leakage testing, in conjunction with an analysis of their potential solar gain.
