Grass cutting is continuing on the rail line working south from Sunny Valley Road until Friday. Please use the route indicated in photo from south of Sunndy Valley Rd to Con 20. South of Con 20 please use either East Back Line or West Back Line.

Attention Rail Line closed from Grey Rd 18 to Sunny Valley Rd Monday July 8 for grass cutting. Please use alternate route Sunny Valley Rd and Con 10.

REMINDER.

We share the trail with horse back riders. There was a group out today south of Markdale.
IF you meet a rider pull to the side and turn off your machine. Please take directions from the rider.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Annual General Meeting of the Dufferin Grey ATV Club Inc. is scheduled for Sunday, March 24, 2024 at 1:00pm.

All Members of the Dufferin Grey ATV Club Inc. are welcome and wallet card with permit number will be requested for verification.

Time: Registration opens at 12:30pm.

Location: Dundalk Legion, 109 Proton St. N., Dundalk, ON

Agenda:

1. To receive the Report of the Executive.
2. To hear the Treasurer’s Report.
3. To elect four (4) Directors positions for two (2) year terms.
4. To address New Business.

NOTICE: The use of ATVs (including side-by-sides) is not permitted on the Grey County CP Rail Trail at this time. Rail Trail use for ATVs (with permits) begins May 1, 2024.

Reminder to our riders that there is a zero alcohol policy on the trail, and please pickup garbage if you see it. We run the risk of complaints closing the trail if we don't do our part.

DGATV Club is assisting at the International Ploughing Match that is happening in Dufferin County.
We are looking for volunteers to help with Snow fencing around the site on Saturday August 19 and 26.
Volunteers are also needed during the Match to help guide in RVs and vendors and to help with garage and recycling pick up.
If you are interested in assisting contact RuthAnn Turnbull.
Volunteers who put in 5.5 hours will get a pass to attend the Ploughing Match and Rural Expo.

Opening day is tomorrow May 1st. If your QuadON app is showing trails open You need to switch on trails/ points of interest status. Click on stack in right hand corner and click on it. It will bring this legend up. Switch on trail status. If green on.

OFATV & OFSC Sign Historic MOU

(Barrie, ON: November 30, 2022): The Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs (OFSC) and the Ontario Federation of All Terrain Vehicle Clubs (OFATV) announced a historic Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the province’s two largest recreational trail organizations. This first of its kind MOU solidifies a cooperative new approach in organized powersports with the goals to foster the protection, sustainability and growth of motorized recreational trails. The MOU will significantly benefit each Federation, their clubs, volunteers, landowners and trail users, as well as countless trail‐connected communities and tourism businesses across Ontario.

It’s that time of year again. All trails will be closed immediately in accordance with our landowner agreements Thanks for a great season. See you in the spring.

Rail line closed from Side Road 130 south to 160. Please detour around using west back line or explore West Grey Atv Club trails north west of Dundalk that connects to DGATV trails at 110.

For everyone’s safety please do not ride on these closed sections. Thanks

TRAIL Closure. Please use West Back Line as detour
The rail trail will be closed on Oct 5 & 6 from 80 sdr ( north of Thistlewood Rd to rd 180 in Proton Station for grading and vegetation work. Work will begin October 5th, and the resurfacing will begin October 10th. The work will begin at Sideroad 80 (north of Thistlewood Road) and end at Grey Street East in Dundalk. If conditions allow, the work will continue work starting at Grey Road 9 in Dundalk and ending at Side Road 250.

************For October 5th and 6th, Sideroad 80 (north of Thistlewood Road) through to Side road 180 (north of Proton Station) will be closed for grading.**************

The party starts at 5pm-8pm, Pig Roast served at 6pm.

Welcome to DGATV’s 2022 ATV & Side-by-side Riding Season!

The season starts May 1st and runs to November 30th weather permitting.

Currently the trails are looking good and seem likely to open on time.

DGATV begins this year with a relatively new Board of Directors after the Annual General Meeting last month welcoming four brand new Directors to help run the club.

Many thanks to all past Directors for their commitment to the club and hard work in keeping DGATV viable and running smoothly for the past 15 years.

Special thanks to Tim Allen who is stepping down as Director after more than 11 years on the Executive with 8 of those years as DGATV’s President. Tim is staying active with the club and will continue to help out and advise as Past President. We thank Tim for his dedication and for all that he has done for DGATV and the sport of ATVing in Ontario.
