In 2007 I was able to visit a refugee camp in Palestine. It was extremely challenging as it’s not easy to cross the border through Israel. There are checkpoints everywhere, underground holding cells, interrogation rooms where you are held for hours leading to days with no reason (I can speak from experience), and restrictions on basically every single aspect of your movement. All this while holding a Canadian passport. Now imagine being Palestinian.

What is taking place is not war, it is ethnic cleansing. I stand in solidarity with the people of Palestine 🇵🇸

Words cannot describe my appreciation for you Finland! This was such an epic trip!

When our Helsinki team told us about how famous SUVA BEAUTY] was here we thought it was just one of those things you say.

But then we got to meet you all today! Seeing people in tears and hearing stories of how SUVA BEAUTY] has changed their life, brought them out of dark places and helped them feel a greater sense of belonging has me lost for words!

I’ve always been such a weirdo and with the birth of SUVA I was able to embrace that outcast. The purpose was always to create a place where us weirdos could confidently be ourselves. And I’m forever grateful for you all. I think we can say we’ve successfully created a global community.

It’s taken a long time to get here and we really couldn’t have done it without all of our fans around the world and my OG Pro Artist community right here in Vancouver (that’s where it all started!) 🙌🏾

Some of you have messaged about David Hasselhoff 😅 So here’s the story and I’d like to think it’s a good one to show off how if you don’t ask then the answer will always be no, but if you do ask, you have a couple potential responses.

I was working on set with some stellar department heads as an assist on an MOW. I ended up becoming friends with Hasselhoff’s girlfriend. I pitched a couple photoshoot ideas to them and they loved it. So that’s how offset I became friends with them and ended up pushing my title up.

If you don’t take chances, risks and put yourself in uncomfortable situations then you’ll just remain stagnant. Don’t be afraid to push yourself beyond the confines, that’s where the good stuff lies.

Side note: I still have both of their numbers. I’m sure if I texted them now the response would be… “who? Is this my Uber driver?” 😂
