Why hello little baby fan! 👶

just kidding, she’s not a baby, she’s a 13mm!!!!

I love seeing natural lashes longer than the extension itself 🥰

✨𝓈𝓊𝓅𝑒𝓇 𝒻𝓁𝓊𝒻𝒻✨

Created in lengths 9mm-13mm

Her natural lashes are actually very long & can even hold a 15mm! We previously did a volume set with lengths 11mm-15mm but to achieve maximum darkness, we had to shorten the lengths to create the illusion of complete darkness & fluff!

You would be surprised how dark your lashes can actually get if you shorten the lengths!

An aspect about my career that I love & truly enjoy so much is meeting such unique, & strong people!

Beauty & confidence has no age, & it is such a privilege to meet & create relationships with so many people who have all had different walks of life. It helps bring new perspective to me, & to learn that we all have our own struggles, & with that, we all have different ways of healing!

I love hearing about the different reasons why people decide to get lashes, & what it means to them. & it makes me feel happy to know that there are people out there who appreciate my work!

I hope everyone is enjoying their week! 💜

It’s me!!! I’m alive!!!! 😂⠀

Just kidding guys, I’ve always been here hehe. I’ve been getting a lot of messages whether I am going to be opening up soon, as Ontario has started phase 2 of reopening businesses.⠀

𝙗𝙖𝙙 𝙣𝙚𝙬𝙨:⠀
Lash extensions is a restricted business that is still unable to open during phase 2 because it is serviced directly on the face. I know, we have to wait a little bit longer to get back to our regular schedules, but let’s all remember to work together as a community to flatten the curve so we can finally reopen! ⠀

Remember to wear a mask when you are in public! It has already been proven to not protect from the virus itself, 𝙗𝙪𝙩 𝙞𝙩 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙩𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙨 𝙤𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙨 𝙖𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙙 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙛𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙤𝙬𝙣 𝙗𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙖.⠀

Let’s continue to take precautions so I can see all of your healthy faces once again! I hope everyone has a safe & happy Canada Day! ⠀

Fingers crossed that we can resume our regular lives again soon, so to prepare for the re-opening of Lily Pham Beauty, we will be exercising some new policies for all appointments being booked. Alongside these new policies, we will continue to keep our standard of cleanliness & sanitation high.⠀

Please note that these policies are in effect to protect yourself, & myself. ⠀

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me by DM! Stay safe everyone! ❤️❤️⠀

Long time no post!⠀

Hi Instagram Fam 💕 I hope everyone is taking care of themselves! Although the curve is (slowly but surely) flattening, that does not mean it is time to get back to usual! We, as a community, must continue to show solidarity by staying indoors, and minimizing any contact with others. ⠀

I can only assume that everyone wants to get back to their regular life, and as much as I miss my clients and lashing, we must continue to do our part to stop the spread of covid-19. ⠀

On another note, what has everyone been doing to keep busy?! I definitely spend a lot of time relaxing, and playing animal crossing! Just remember, it’s okay not to be productive ALL the time. It’s okay to let your mind rest, and enjoy some free time! ⠀

This was her first time receiving light volume lashes, so we kept it wispy! The best thing for clients who are upgrading their sets is to gradually grow to the length and thickness they desire. It’s easier applying more than taking it off. ⠀

Man, do I miss lashing so bad 😩⠀

Lash removals can be so satisfying 🤤⠀

Today’s product spotlight goes to ‘s Cream Remover!⠀

This is my favourite remover not only because it takes off extensions like butter, but also because it’s a cream! I prefer cream over gel removers because there is little to no risk of the product seeping into the clients eyes, which can cause discomfort and burning! Yikes! 😬⠀

When using a remover, remember to scoop it onto a disposable palette (so there’s no double dipping into the original jar!) I usually leave the remover on for approx 7 min before I start to remove the extensions. ⠀

It’s normal to have a couple fans that are stubborn (the adhesive won’t let go! 🤪) but I just use the banana peel method, and they almost always pop off with ease. ⠀

Don’t forget to remove any leftover remover and wash your clients lashes with a lash cleanser. I just do a minimum clean, and then send them to the bathroom to wash and rinse themselves, so they can really get deep without hurting themselves. ⠀

Love you guys, stay strong and healthy 💜⠀

𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐫: this post is not to degrade anyone. this is my professional opinion & not meant to harm or hurt others. I am voicing my opinion on this plague in our industry. I am truly open minded & would love to hear & discuss your thoughts as well. Leave a comment if you’re feeling up to it. ⠀

Looking at these photos, what type of artist would you assume did this set?⠀

It is extremely disappointing to see that some artists actually let their clients leave their studio with these. The worst part, this client received this set from an 𝙚𝙙𝙪𝙘𝙖𝙩𝙤𝙧. ⠀

Swipe to see the damage & discomfort this client had to go through. The amount of follicle damage caused is appalling.

Now, that doesn’t mean I’m trying to degrade other artists who are at different levels of skill than I. Trust me, I’ve been there. I’ve accidentally stuck lashes to the skin, or caused stickies. You name it, I’ve messed up. But the difference is that I 𝙖𝙘𝙠𝙣𝙤𝙬𝙡𝙚𝙙𝙜𝙚𝙙 my mistakes & I 𝙘𝙤𝙧𝙧𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙚𝙙 them. I continued my lash education until I was confident enough to leave damaging lashes behind me. ⠀

As a lash artist, I truly believe it is my duty to the industry to call out people who think this is okay! Instagram can be very fooling, with photo editing tools & such, but in reality, this is what people are paying for.. ⠀

Also the fact that this artist is an educator truly shakes me to my core. My opinion is that people who cannot back up their artistry with skill should not be teaching ANYONE to be doing lashes like these.⠀

This industry IS NOT a get-rich-quick scheme. I can tell who is truly passionate about their work, & who wants to exploit our services for the quickest buck.⠀

Topic of discussion: RED EYES after completing the procedure.⠀

Are red eyes normal to have once the client opens their eyes? Yes! In some circumstances. But what does red eyes mean? Why does it get red & why does it burn the clients eyes? ⠀

Having red eyes translates into a chemical burn. The chemical burn can range from mild to severe. All lash adhesives carries the most important ingredient; cyanoacrylate, which gives off vapours when cured. Sometimes these vapours can seep into the eye socket & attach itself to the moisture on the eyeball. ⠀

How can we reduce/eliminate the chemical burn if it happens?⠀
- Nanomist the lashes to cure any vapours that are lingering⠀
- Fan away any vapours that are lingering⠀
- Sometimes having the client sit up can help any burning sensations ⠀

How can we eliminate any potential risks of having a chemical burn? ⠀

- Make sure to place the eye pads not directly on the waterline, but enough to do it’s job of holding down bottom lashes & protecting the skin underneath ⠀
- Make sure the clients eyes are fully closed before starting. If the clients eyes cannot remain fully closed naturally, use a piece of tape to tape over the lid to give some “weight” to hold down the lid⠀
- If taping up the lid, make sure to use your dental mirror to check that the clients eyes remain closed⠀
- Once completed, nanomist the lashes to help cure the adhesive to reduce & minimize the amount of vapours ⠀
- After nanomisting, fan away any remaining vapours that may be lingering around the eye area. I usually fan for approx 30 sec after nanomisting⠀
- Run an air filter that filters out VOCs to help reduce the amount of vapours in the surrounding area. ⠀
- Have good ventilation in your studio⠀

Any other ways you do to help reduce red eyes? Drop them in the comments below!⠀

so light & fluffy!! 🤤⠀

This right here is a light volume set. Light volume consists of 3-4D fans. Depending on how dense the client wants their lashes (which I always ask them), I configure the fan to be wide or narrow depending on their preference. ⠀

I also get questions as to why I don’t provide “hybrids” anymore. For those who are unaware, hybrids are a mix of volume fans & classic lashes. ⠀

I’ve seen beautiful hybrid work, but when I do hybrid work, especially fills, I waste a lot of time going back from volume fans to classic. There’s no ᴇxᴀᴄᴛ ratio of volume fans to classic lashes & that’s what makes me anxious. No consistency!! ⠀

Plus, volumes are so versatile, we can create the style to mimic a hybrid set! A look like this also requires a good amount of natural lashes as well! ⠀

I wouldn't call this a hybrid, but it's sort of like a hybrid 😋⠀

Usually hybrids would be 50% volume & 50% classic, but the majority of this set is actually light volume! I don't think most people would actually notice this, but the inner corner is actually only classic. ⠀

Sometimes I know that inner corner volumes can be a bit too much for some clients, so we opted out to do a simple inner corner that wouldn't irritate it by using only classics! ⠀

The trick to this is to actually overlap some of the volumes with a couple classics, for a smooth transition.⠀

What do you think of it? Or do you prefer classic hybrids? Let me know!⠀

Peep that’d isolation though 😵😵😵⠀

Isolation is KEY for a healthy set of lashes. Stickies (lashes stuck to one another) can cause damage by pulling out the lashes prematurely. ⠀

Think about it, all of the lashes have it’s own cycle. They shed when it is time to shed. If Lash A & Lash B are stuck together, & Lash A is ready to fall out, it’ll yank lash B out with it! Even if it’s not ready. ⠀

Here’s a set of 4D light volumes! Light volume is great for those who still want their lashes to look somewhat natural, but have some density to them. ⠀

When I have a first timer come to me, I try my best to give them what they envision, but since it is our first time meeting, it’s like a first date! If you decide to come back for a second date, you are more likely to be comfortable with me and tell me what can be changed to make it EXACTLY what you envision. ⠀

Don’t be afraid to let me know what you want changed, & I will try my best to change it, or I will suggest something that can be handled on your natural lashes! ⠀

Let’s talk about why dirty lashes are bad ! 🤬⠀

▪️when there is dirt & debris on the NL, & we attach an extension to it, the moment the dirt falls off, so will the extension! ⠀
▫️build up of dirt on the lash line can cause irritation, and can even lead to infection! 🤢⠀
▪️the lashes are naturally there to block dirt & debris from the eye, therefore your extensions will get dirty even if you don’t wear makeup!
▫️excess glue on the extension can also cause your dirt to build up more easily. Just use enough glue to let the extension stick without causing buildup!

How can we combat this? WASH your lashes. Don’t be afraid to get them wet! Clean lashes = healthy lashes! ⠀
