Taurine helps support healthy mental focus and balances the stress hormone cortisol, as well as adrenaline, to aid in its calming effect. It can be used to calm and focus horses in stressful situations.

As an amino acid and a potent antioxidant, it is believed that Taurine helps with cardiovascular support. It helps maintain healthy heart function. It also helps combat oxidative stress, which is beneficial to horses in hard-working programs, or subjected to environmental stressors, and can have calming properties.

Taurine is also abundant in animal tissue, where it plays a significant role in many neurological functions, as well as assists in the movement of electrolytes, in and out of cells.
