🟧We will be observing today, September 30th as National Truth and Reconciliation Day, honouring our ancestors and acknowledging all Nations - Indigenous and non - who live, work and play on this land and who honour and celebrate this territory.

🟧We support and demand accountability for these genocidal atrocities that happened in our extremely recent past - the last school closed in 1996, not even one generation ago.

🟧We acknowledge and honour the First Nations communities that have been devastated by the genocidal effects of the Residential School System that has left a lasting, intergenerational impact, on so many people’s.

🟧Today is a day for reflection and honour. Truth and Reconciliation is an ongoing process, not just a one-day event, and it will take all of us to work together for a better future.
