Yesterday, James Dick Construction hosted its 2nd annual field trip of The University of Guelph Turfgrass Students. Many thanks to Executive VP Greg Sweetnam taking time out of his busy schedule to teach these students how geology created aggregates (a long time ago!), how they are produced and their uses both inside and outside the Turfgrass industry.
Teaching the next generation of Turfgrass about reducing Carbon footprint by sourcing out local aggregates and pit rehabilitation was also discussed. The obligatory photo atop the washplant is always the Students favourite!
Wishing you and yours a Happy Thanksgiving
Enjoy the last long weekend of summer!
Happy long weekend everyone. Enjoy the sunshine!
Happy long weekend!
South Africa is the eighth largest wine producer in the world. You will find our 3 South African wines choices at the James Dick Construction's table.
Cathedral Cellars Cabernet Sauvginon wine spends 18 months in barrels. The wood utilized in the making of the wine comprised 95% French and 5% American oak giving the wine a smoky oak favour.
Goats Do Roam is made from a blend of Shiraz, Grenache, Mourvèdre, Petite Sirah, Tempranillo and Cinsault grapes. The wine is matured in tanks and barrels prior to blending, stabilization and bottling.
The Cape of Good Horn's Altima Sauvignon Blanc is produced in the Elandskloof Valley and harvested by hand. This winery was started as a project to preserve South Africa’s oldest vineyards
