I'm taking advantage of the heat and sunshine today to wash (and dry) some more reclaimed barn wood. Several pieces have some unique kerf marks likely caused by a misaligned saw blade when cut over a century ago. They will add even more character to some future projects.

More of my work on the trip, this time in Cloyne Ontario made for a few years back for the front of the general store. Makes the road trip even better seeing my creations on display!!!

Here we are at day 2 of .dorchester. Stop in and find something unique and hand painted for your patio, cottage, backyard, or man cave. Bar signs, waterski welcome signs and all sorts of rustic Canadianna folk art. Until 3 today at the Dorchester Fairgrounds.

It's a great day here at the Dorchester Fairgrounds for .dorchester . 9 til 5 today and 9 til 3 Sunday. We ate all re stocked after last weekend with a fresh batch of "red white and moose" t-shirts.

I'm spending all my "spare time" this week prepping for .dorchester . Join me Saturday and Sunday for a tremendous show put on at the Dorchester Fairgrounds. We'll have all my rustic, handmade decor on display.

It's Sunday, the final day of the Goderich Kinettes Craft Show at Courthouse Square, and it's a beautiful day!!!! Open til 4pm then we pack up whatever is left. Come check out everything Canadian and rustic. All handpainted and each one unique.

In an effort to socialize Ziggy some more, we took her on a field trip to Petsmart this morning. She just thinks we're shopping for lunch.

This Saturday sept 23rd my workshop will be open to the public until 2pm. I am excited to be participating in the first ever Rural Expressions event put on by my friend Jan at . Visit her page for details. It's basically a culture crawl of the Burford and Harley area with stops that include food, history and art. I'll have my rustic decor on display to shop from so stop in at 330 maple ave south and say "hi".

👋 Hi everyone, it’s Optimist Jenn here. Usually I provide fundraising updates, but today I’m going to share a STORY with you about my “WHY” behind wanting to see the new Skate Park built here in Burford.

When I was at the Brant Rec Expo this spring, a local mom stopped by our Optimist booth and told me that her 8 year old son was recently wanting to try the big ramp at the current Burford Skate Park. She could tell her son was nervous as he was debating on trying to ride the big ramp. A 14 year-old boy at the park who had his own scooter in hand came up to her son and gave him some tips and coaching on how to tackle the big ramp. Her son then felt he had the confidence to give it a try - and he did - and he made it! He was so happy and stayed longer at the park to keep riding the big ramp.

📍Stories like these highlight the positive outcomes that come from having a community skate park - to get our kids active, outdoors and social. To help them build skills and confidence. To have a space where youth can mentor and lead other youth. This is why I am so passionate about this community project. I hope you will join the Optimist Club in this final push to raise funds for the Burford Skate Park 2024 build! We are almost there!!!! 👏 😀

Day 2 at .georgeapplefest ! It's a dog friendly event and runs til 5pm today. All dogs are welcome to bring their humans by to shop! 🐕

We are all good to go at .georgeapplefest. Come see us in the park behind BMO for some handmade, reclaimed, rustic home and cottage decor.

All loaded up for .georgeapplefest ! We'll be there all day Saturday and Sunday in the applesolutely quaint village of St George. Come check out all things rustic and handpainted in my booth at the top of the park including these Appley Ever After signs.
