Legal Clinic at Hum-WE with Ali Shaikh
The legal clinic at the women’s shelter provided a vital resource for residents seeking guidance
and support in navigating their legal challenges. Organized in partnership with a compassionate
family lawyer, the clinic offered a safe space for women to discuss their concerns about custody,
divorce, and domestic violence issues. With empathy and understanding, the lawyer addressed
individual situations, empowering attendees with knowledge about their rights and options.
This initiative not only helped to demystify the legal process but also fostered a sense of
community and solidarity, reinforcing the shelter's commitment to supporting women's
empowerment and independence.
