Building up a brand and a following is hard fought for and takes a lot of time.

My dear friend Andrew, who has been an iconic fixture in the yeg drag scene for a DECADE has had his OG Instagram account compromised and with that may have lost ten years of social media content and contacts.

My reach is not massive, but I will use what small platform I have for the next little while to highlight this amazing artist who always serves and slays everytime she takes the stage, and is also one of the most kind people in the world that I know, in hopes of getting the word out there. Please follow at because this amazing queen hasn’t gone anywhere and big things are coming up.

I had the pleasure of meeting Bruce and Doug at St. Albert Pride when they stopped by our little booth with selling flowers and such. So glad I did. I had the honour of creating some boutonnière and decor pieces for an intimate wedding reception they held in their house. They incorporated a lot of seashells and beachy accents into their decor for the ocassion and I followed suit with a hand made bind wire net worked through this arrangement with a few starfish caught up in it. Fun to add a touch of whimsy into a piece and always love working in a theme!

I used to work with Dorothy indirectly many moons ago at Hole’s Greenhouses, her in the plant growing ranges and me in the floral department. She’s been a steadfast supporter of my business since I went off on my own, and has become a friend.

I had the honour of doing the wedding florals first for her son Michael to Nikole in 2019, and again for her son Alex to Emily just yesterday.

She had me create a handmade wire necklace base with fresh florals for round one (abstracted cymbidium orchids with seeded eucalyptus) and then reimagined it for this wedding using the same base with phalaenopsis orchids and bunny tails.

What a cool thing to revisit this tradition. With one more son yet to be wed, maybe it will see a third reincarnation. ☺️😉

“We’re all born naked and the rest is drag..”

Had loads of fun being put into drag for a photo shoot. I love creating floral accoutrements to compliment drag lewks, (flowers and drag have a mutual flair for drama) and this ombré moon carnation and tinted plumosa boa was no exception. And it smelled pretty fantastic too.
