Hot tubs usually fail at the worst times. I recommend heater/failsafe relay replacements every 5 - 7 years (or when your element is replaced).

If you think ribbon cables are a thing of the past, they kind of are.... But I've made and repaired lots of these cables. Even came up with solutions to replace obsolete/proprietary ends and even made solutions to nearly eliminate pesky service calls.
This grease gun had intermittent power issues. Found the board issue and it seems to be working good now.
