Feeling very much like SPRING in the gym this week. For now anyway!

Another week of sessions helping clients get stronger for their outdoor adventures. To do this we have been working on both Strength & Mobility consistently.

They go hand in hand for mountain sports, both for longevity and performance. Let’s face it, the tighter you get, the less crash resiliency you have. Your ability to get yourself out of sketchy situations increases massively when you have the mobility and agility to avoid them!

Injury rehab is a bumpy road, with lots of up and downs and what works for one person may not work for another. Every injury is different, but consistency is one thing that must remain if you want things to improve.

is one of my most consistent and dedicated clients and now he is reaping the rewards of all the effort he has put in. I cannot wait for him to get out in the mountains shredding on his skis this year feeling stronger than ever! Thanks for the love! 🤘🏻⛷️🗻

Encouraging & coaching my clients to move well is very high on my priority list as a trainer.

But it is also important to encourage you to listen to your body and what it needs- because this changes depending on what life throws at you that day.

I have been lucky enough to work with Michelle for the last 2.5 years now and she is a role model in showing us all what we can look and feel like when we get to our sixties.

She is still crushing laps of Whistler Bowl with ease and grace and she credits that to her continued strength training throughout the year! 💪🏻⛷️

Your reminder that sport specific strength training over the winter/ off-season pays off come spring time.

Between work and training a young puppy how to behave in the world, I didn’t get as much ‘on bike’ time this spring as I would have liked before this enduro. But what I did maintain my consistency with was short, yet effective strength training sessions all winter. Meaning that for this enduro I was able to stay on the brakes when I needed too, put down the pedals on the flat sections and hold on through the compressions when I inevitably made poor line choices- goes with the blind enduro format!

Bike skills and ride time is important but so is strength training! Get in touch and let’s chat about your training!

There is a bunch of new faces on here recently and I just wanted to say I am so grateful for the support and I am glad you are here!

👋 Im Becky and this is our 8 month old puppy Finn. I have been recreating in the outdoors for as long as I can remember, it fills my bucket. And you are probably here because it fills yours too. For me it’s big days on the bike, long hikes in the mountains and keeping up with Finn that keeps me motivated.
