Team Crozier was on the lake and stung a nice one on the west end. They weighed in this 𝟯𝟬.𝟮𝟮 𝗹𝗯 salmon this morning 📍 . The fish has been verified ✅

This is Harlon, his dad shared with us that he has been burning the candle at both ends trying to find a derby winning fish! Little man had the second biggest fish in the East End Salmon Derby on Sunday!!

Lots of time we would love to see him get it done!!

Day 4 of Week 4 was a beautiful day with many participants on the lake but the fishing has definitely quieted down. We only had one update to the Garmin Weekly Leaderboard.

Tim Steenkist was the only one lucky enough to put a fish on the board today. Tim weighed in a 23.44 lb fish at Lakefront Promenade and landed in 23rd Place Hoping to win $100 cash!

We are hoping that it was just an off day today and things will pick back up tomorrow with some more upgrades to the GARMIN Weekly Leaderboard!

Day 3 of Week 4 was a little quieter than the weekend but still pretty busy. The weather was beautiful and we saw some solid fish put on the Garmin Weekly Leaderboard.

Carter Brooks weighed in a 25.64 lber while onboard Kingslayer Sportfishing at Bluffer's Park Marina and moved into 4th Place. Carter is hoping to win $1000 plus an $800 online gift certificate plus gift pack from Gibbs Fishing with a $1045 value! Nice fish Carter.

We have posted the Walter Oster Junior Angler Day Official Winners and will be contacting everyone shortly about prize pickups! Congratulations to all the Juniors!

The aim of this event is to promote youth angling and cultivate a deep appreciation for nature and the environment. Teach valuable skills such as patience, discipline, and teamwork that will support young anglers through tournaments and fishing events. We hope to encourage a lifelong passion for the sport and fosters a sense of responsibility towards conservation. Let’s continue to inspire the next generation of anglers to explore the joys of fishing and the great outdoors!

Day 2 of Week 4 was another very busy day! We saw a high number of weigh ins from all over and some big movement on the Garmin Weeky Leaderboard including a new Weekly Leader!

Jamie Macdonald weighed in a 27.66 pound fish at Halton Storage and took over first place for the Week hoping to win $10000 plus a bragging rights tool holder from Custom Fishing Solutions! Ontop of that Jamie is our winner of Outfitter Financial Big Fish Sunday paying $500 cash. Well Done Jamie!

Jason Neglia brought in a 25.80 pound fish to Lakefront Promenade and landed in third place hoping to win $1500 plus a Scotty Fishing Products 2116 High Performance Downrigger with an $1100 value! Nice Fish Jason!

The fishing has been outstanding this weekend and we can’t wait to see what the rest of the week has in store!

A big Thank You goes out to Scotty Richardson at Scottys Sportfishing, Great Ontario Salmon Derby and the Gagnon Sports shootout for their generous donations in support of The Ringwood Fish Culture Station and the Metro East Anglers. This donation will greatly help with operations at the hatchery in 2024.

Day 1 of Week 4 was busy! The weather was beautiful for our Walter Oster Junior Angler Day and the weigh stations saw lots of action. The Garmin Weekly Leaderboard is full!

Tony Bolger weighed in a 26.44 lb fish at Port of Newcastle Marina and is our weekly Leader hoping to win $10000 and a Bragging Rights Tool Holder from Custom Fishing Solutions. Tony is also our Langille's Metal Recycling Big Fish Saturday winner paying $500 cash! Nice Fish Tony!

We had a ton of entries for the Walter Oster Junior Angler Day division and many awesome pictures sent in of Juniors holding and battling some big salmon! Congratulations to all the Juniors who submitted fish today! We have posted the unofficial results but want to give it some time incase there are any errors or fish that haven’t been submitted to cutdown on disappointing anyone.

The final day of Week 3 ended with a bang! We saw a good amount of weigh ins from all over and the Garmin Weekly Leaderboard got some good upgrades!

David Neill weighed in a 26.44 lb fish at Port of Newcastle Marina and landed himself in 7th place! David has won $500 cash plus a Bradley Smoker World with a $500 value! Ontop of that David is our YETI Big Fish Friday Winner paying $500 cash! Nice Job David!

Ryan Clements brought a good one into Port Whitby Marina weighing in at 26.00 lbs and took over 10th place winning $500 cash plus a $300 gift certificate from Custom Fishing Solutions!

Tomorrow is the 1st day of Week 4 and also the Walter Oster Junior Angler Day! We wish the best of luck to all of our Juniors and would like to remind everyone to please specify on your weigh in slips that it was caught by a Junior!

A memorable day with Radioworld on the big pond! It was our pleasure to take you guys out to experience all our Salmon fishery has to offer!

We all got a pleasant surprise when Jack Summers landed a 20lb coho !! There have been some big Atlantics this season but this was really something to see!!

Thank you for all you do to support our event and make much of it possible for all the anglers participating year after year !

Day 6 of Week 3 was a slow one with only 2 updates to the Garmin Weekly Leaderboard. One of which is our new Weekly Leader!

Joshua Kalailieff weighed in a 28.96 lb fish at Port of Newcastle Marina and has taken over 1st Place. Joshua is hoping to win $10000 plus a Custom Fishing Solutions Bragging Rights Tool Holder. Congratulations Joshua nice fish!

Scott Davis weighed in a 24.14 lber at Bronte Outer Harbour Marina and landed in 19th place and is inline to win $100 cash and a Flambeau Soft Sided Tackle Box with a $50 Value.

Day 5 of Week 3 was another quiet one. We heard from quite a few anglers that there is plenty of fish around just not the right ones. We had 2 updates to the Garmin Weekly Leaderboard.

Chris Webb was out fishing with Niagara Fishing Adventures and weighed in a 24.38 lb fish at Peters Tackle. Chris’s fish moved him into 14 Place and he is hoping to win $200 cash plus a POW Casting Gift Certificate with a $250 Value. Nice fish Chris!

Many participants we spoke with today said there is a large amount of debris floating all over the lake and we hope everyone uses caution and stays safe untill it clears!

Congratulations to all of our Week 2 Winners! Another great Week with plenty of Action and some very quality fish including our first Tyee of the season! Day 3 of Week 4 was a slow one which was expected with the crazy rains we received. There were still some diehard participants out there and we received one update to the Garmin Weekly Leaderboard!

Sebastien Venne of Draveurs Charters weighed in a 24.94 lb fish at Port of Newcastle Marina and moved into 19th Place. Sebastien is hoping to win $100 cash and a Flambeau soft sided tackle box with a $50 value! Good job Sebastien on a tough day.

We are gearing up for this year’s Walter Oster Jr. Angler Tournament Day‼️

We eagerly await this day each year to support, encourage and reward our junior anglers for participating in a one day competition on our great lake!

Date: July 20th, 2024

Jr. Anglers must be 16 or under & have purchased a ticket at least 1 day prior to the event.

🏆Top 10 Heaviest fish weighed will win prizing 🏆

When weighing fish provide proof of the ticket for the Walter Oster Jr Angler event — and ask the weigh station staff to clearly note at the top of the ticket that is it for the Junior Tourney!!

** Separate entry required for all youth participating — ONLY EXCEPTION is youth who have purchased a season long GOSD Jr. derby ticket as the $60.00 season ticket includes this entry fee as well**

Day 3 of Week 3 was on the quieter side likely due to the rain and storms that passed through but we did have a handful of quality weigh ins this morning!

Liam Ferguson was out fishing with Get It Wet 8 and weighed in a 27.44 lb fish at Port of Newcastle Marina. Liam’s fish moved him into 2nd place on the Garmin Weekly Leaderboard and he is hoping to win $2000 plus a GARMIN Echomap UHD 2 95SV with a $1760 value sponsored by Radioworld. Nice fish Liam!

Ryan Proctor who already had a fish on the Leaderboard upgraded with a 26.72 lber weighed in at Bluffer's Park Marina and landed in 4th. Ryan’s inline to win $1000 and a Gibbs Fishing $800 online gift card plus gift pack with a $1045 value!

The first day of Week 3 was pretty good. The weather was awesome and we got mixed fishing reports from around the lake. The east end definitely seemed like the place to be. We had 19 updates to the Garmin Weekly Leaderboard.

Dutchies Sportfishing seemed to have things figured out today weighing in the top two fish of the day. Raymond Smith brought in a 28.04 lber and is our current Weekly Leader Hoping to win $10000 and Custom Fishing Solutions Tool Holder! Raymond is also our winner of Langille's Metal Recycling Big Fish Friday paying $500 cash! Nice fish Raymond!

The Final Day of Week 2 was a productive one! We had quite a few weigh ins with some quality fish making there way to the Garmin Weekly Leaderboard!

Fred Shouldice weighed in a 26.04 lb fish at Bluffer's Park Marina and took over 9th Place. Fred has won $500 cash and a pair of Smith Guides Choice Sunglasses with a $335 value! Ontop of that Fred is the winner of YETI Big Fish Friday paying $500 cash! Nice Job Fred!

Day 6 of Week 2 was extremely quiet! Most participants we spoke with reported very warm water moving onto the North Shore that seems to have slowed things down in the areas that have been hot recently. We had 1 update to the Garmin Weekly Leaderboard.

Etrenne Hachez was out fishing with Get It Wet 10 and weighed in a 24.40 lb fish at Port of Newcastle Marina. Etrenne is hoping to win $100 cash and a GOSD Hoodie!

Day 5 of Week 2 was quiet as expected with the terrible weather. We had one fish weighed in this morning that was caught the night before and it was a good one!
