Happy Mothers Day to all the extraordinary moms out there ( Fur moms too of course!!) 🐾💕 We hope you you have a day as special as you are.

As Christmas approaches - the gifts begin piling under the Christmas tree.🎁
It is not uncommon to gift your loved ones with yummy chocolate🍫
We suggest storing chocolate gifts safely in your cupboards and away from your pets reach (not under the tree).
Chocolate is highly toxic to our animal friends and if ingested, veterinary treatment is immediately required.
Lets keep our pets safe this season!

Christmas is right around the corner!
We suggest taking stock of the medications you have at home to ensure you have enough to last you through the holidays.
We are closed December 23rd-26th, so you will be unable to order medications at that time.
Please get refill requests in to us by December 19th to ensure we have adequate time to get you what you need.

Winter holiday pet safety December abounds with holiday celebrations, and nothing can spoil good cheer like an emergency trip to the veterinary clinic. These tips can help keep the winter holiday season safe for pets.

Are you using tinsel to decorate for the holidays?
While tinsel looks beautiful - it can pose a serious risk to your fur babies.
Tinsel can be ingested and become stuck in the gastrointestinal tract - leading to foreign bodies, and sometimes even intussusception.
Intussusception is when part of the intestine slips into itself and can sometimes cut off blood supply to the organ which is considered an emergency.
If you see tinsel coming out of your pets hind end - DO NOT PULL IT❗️
We advise everyone to be cautious about what is in your house this season and keep a close eye on your precious babies!

Crackers! I never get tired of eating crackers.

Today is hairball awareness day! Did you know that occasional hairballs are normal for cats? However if you cat has frequent hairballs or they are distressing for you cat, that may the sign of a problem.

April 9-15 is Dog Bite Prevention Week. Kids and pets can be so cute together, but it is important that we take the right steps to keep everyone safe. Help your kids understand how dogs communicate for happy, health kids and dogs.

March 19-25 is Poison Prevention Week. Did you know many common household items are toxic to dogs and cats?

If you think your pet may have eaten something poisonous, call us immediately to see what steps we need to take to keep your pet safe!

February is Pet Dental Health Month!

A healthy mouth starts at home with an oral hygiene routine, including brushing, as well as dental diets, treats, and water additives. Look for products that are accepted by the Veterinary Oral Health Council (VOHC).

If dental disease has progressed, your pet may need a professional teeth cleaning by a veterinarian. If you pet has bad breath, broken teeth, or mouth pain, talk to us about what we can do to help!
