The Bordertown Milling Company Ltd.
We are a local organic flour mill located in Togo, Saskatchewan specializing in whole grain wheat flour.
It’s been a little rainy these past couple days so we haven’t been able to get out in the fields and it feels like harvest has come to a halt. Patiently waiting for a change in the weather to get our wheat swathed! 🌾
We did an intercrop of flax with our wheat this year. Can you spot the flax and the grasshopper?
Labour Day weekend was spent celebrating with family and friends, and getting a start to !
It feels great to be back in the combines and bringing our crops home 🌾
How did you spend your long weekend?
DID YOU KNOW that Downtown Diner in Roblin makes their pizza dough in-house using our white wheat flour?? 🍕
Be sure to try out their pizza and check them out on Main Street next time you’re in Roblin, MB!
Did you know we make our own pizza dough right here at the diner?
One of the benefits of making our own dough is that we have total control over the taste and texture of the end product. It also gives us the freedom to choose what we put into our dough.
In our case, our pizza dough is made with organic flour milled locally in Togo, SK by The Bordertown Milling Company.
We are proud to be able to support our local businesses and are continuing to find ways to source our ingredients as close to home as possible.
Thank you for supporting our little diner! Know that when you eat our pizzas, burgers and sandwiches, you are not only supporting one local business but two!
A big reason things have been a little quieter over here is because of this little bundle of sunshine ☀️
We welcomed a new member to the Bordertown family back in March (friends of ours gifted us THE cutest socks!) and we have been slowing down a little and taking this time to enjoy our growing family!
With that being said our summer is flying by so fast! How have you been spending your summer months?
It’s ZUCCHINI season!! 💚
And we’ve got a great recipe to help you use them up this month!
These were one of our favourite muffins growing up, and still are now! They’re super moist and freeze very well. Just take them out in the morning to pack for lunch or as a harvest/combine snack!
This batch was made with 50% whole grain flour and 50% white flour.

What’s your favourite way to use zucchini??
Happy !
It’s no accident we chose these colours for our brand - I love seeing fields of green and gold this time of year and we love our province 💛💚
It’s been a busy couple months for us, and we’ll be sharing some updates soon so stay tuned!
And the snow keeps on coming! 🤍❄️🤍
I think a evening/weekend seems pretty fitting!
Any suggestions on what to make? Do you have a go-to snowy day recipe?

A big HAPPY BIRTHDAY going out to our head of operations, our favourite farmer, and a pretty great dad!
would not exist without Konrad. He has the gift of entrepreneurship and leadership, and is the backbone of this company. He likes cream and sugar in his coffee, has a great sense of humour & loves a good laugh, and his modelling skills are on another level!
WAFFLES. Weekend favourite, weekday favourite, all-round-any-day-all-the-time favourite in our household!
This recipe is from my mother-in-law and it's easily the best waffle recipe I've ever tried. I love the subtle hints of nuttiness our flour adds here without compromising the texture or aesthetics of it. It's simple, it's delicious - what more do you need?!
We are so thankful and very proud to be a part of Canadian agriculture!
