Do you love music?

Maybe you played an instrument in your high school band and haven't picked it up since, but wish that you did. Maybe you've always wanted to play an instrument but have never had the opportunity to learn one. Maybe you enjoy playing music as a hobby but have never been part of a group. Maybe you are a musician who is looking for a way to become more involved in the community.

If you fall into any of these categories, you should definitely consider joining us to play in the Fergus Brass Band! We meet to play together and enjoy music every Tuesday evening from 7:30-9:00 PM at the Band Hall (501 Blair Street, Fergus). All are welcome, and there are even some instruments available for new members to use, if you don't have your own.

Additional Info:

*We play a range of different pieces from traditional parade marches to music from Broadway and films. We use sheet music, and this is a great opportunity to develop sight-reading skills

*There is a wide range of musical experience in the band - some people are just starting out whereas others have played for decades. We learn from each other!

*Current instruments being played in the band include: flute, clarinet, trumpet, alto sax, trombone, baritone, sousaphone

*We generally play at local events such as Santa Claus parades, fairs and festivals.
