Welcome! I'm a certified wedding planner, who offers full planning and day-of coordination services.
👰👗 Looking for your wedding dress now? Here are some things you should know!
✨️You must order your dress earlier than you think!
- We recommend looking for one 9-12months before your wedding date.
✨️ Wedding dress sizes are not uniform/exact.
- Your regular size for clothes will not be equivalent to a dress; nor will the size 8 be the same between different designers.
✨️There are a MILLION shades of white!
- Who knew?! They once all looked the same to me 😅
✨️ Strapless dresses can have straps added on.
- Uncomfortable with strapless, it's usually easy to add them on.
✨️ You will have to altar your dress.
- It's rare to find one that will fit exactly on you (if you do, lucky you!!).
✨️ It's easier to take in, than to let out your dress.
- Easier and less time consuming for seamstress to make your dress smaller than to add fabric.
✨️ Your dress WILL get dirty.
- It's inevitable -- it will be dragging wherever you walk, it will get stepped on by people coming in for a hug..
✨️ If you steam silk, it will stain!
- If you need to let wrinkles out, hang it in the bathroom and take a steamy shower
One of the most common checklist item that gets overlooked (esp by DIY couples) is applying for a Marriage License.
In Ontario, you need to get a Marriage License in order to get married, so it has to be done BEFORE your wedding day❗️
You apply through your local municipality, and need the following:
✅️ Application form
✅️ 2 government-issued IDs
✅️ Pay application fee
✅️ In-person pickup by one of the couple
Assuming all is in order, you can get it the same-day you apply, and it's valid for 3 months. I strongly suggest not to leave it last minute in case they require additional supporting docs from you.

So in one of the meetings with your venue, they ask if you also have a wedding coordinator or day-of coordinator...and you're thinking "oh I thought there's already a coordinator here.." then, "shoot, do I really need one?"
Here's the difference!
👉 A VENUE Coordinator is typically employed by a wedding venue to assist with the logistics and coordination that the venue is responsible of, such as setting up chairs & tables, making sure the food comes out on time, and other necessary items.
>> They work FOR the venue.
👉 A WEDDING Coordinator (whether full planner or day-of coordinator) is a professional who assists couples with the planning and coordination of their wedding from start to finish. They help couples plan and coordinate all aspects of the wedding day such as selecting a venue, finding vendors, creating a budget, and ensuring the day goes as planned.
>> A wedding coordinator works for YOU.
You need a hairpin? They got you. You need someone to hold up your dress in the bathroom or have your extra pair of shoes waiting for dancing, they got you.
❓️ So, do you NEED one? No. But, would it be nice & beneficial for you? Absolutely.
❤️ Happy Hearts Day!❤️
Remember to share and spread the L-O-V-E to all those around you today and everydayy 🥰
And best of luck to those planning to propose today or commit to their loved ones 😉🤗

❗️It's also best to prep the tips in advance as you won't have time the day of. If you are working with a planner, have them take care of distributing it on your behalf.
❗️Don't forget to leave a raving review of their business/service online! It goes a long way for vendors! 😊
You would think one of the peak wedding months like June or August would be National Wedding Month....or that Feb was chosen because it's the month of Love because of Valentine's Day....
But in actuality, February was chosen by the National Association of Bridal Consultants, because it is usually the time of the year where many couples begin to plan their weddings, as many proposals happen within December and the New Year. Interesting!
Happy Planning to all newly engaged couples ! 💕
