We are seeking volunteers to assist with our upcoming Concert on July 27 from 3-10 pm. Stations will be assigned upon arrival but will include drink servers, drink ticket sellers and raffle ticket sellers.

FUNDRAISER happening July 27 from 4-9 pm featuring Albatross and Felicia McMinn. This is a family friend event and open to all ages. Admission is by donation and alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks will be available for purchase. As well as snacks.

Location: Port Dover Kinsmen Park - 95 Hamilton Plank Road, Port Dover. Bring your own lawn chair.

We need some volunteers for Canada Day. Students looking for volunteer hours, adults and families all welcome. If interested please contact Tera at the number below

Throughout the province there is a need to get more women & men signed-up to be game officials. Our game is growing, but alas the umpire pool isn't keeping pace. We encourage all of our member associations to share this post, and do their best to try and recruit in your communities!

Battle of the clubs is happening tomorrow at the Port Dover Arena at 1:30 pm. Port Dover Kinsmen vs Port Dover Fire Fighters.

Admission is by donation. All proceeds to the Kinsmen Splash Pad Fund and Port Dover Fire Fighters Association.

If you are looking to purchase a 2023 October Friday the 13th Shirt, we have now opened an online store for presales. Simply click the link below and choose your size and sleeve length (short sleeve or long sleeve). Then proceed to checkout.

A couple things to note....
1. This is a presale and will close on November 13
2. Shirts will then be ordered from our printer based on the number of orders
3. Once they are received they will then need to be packed for shipping. The entire process from today to delivery will be up to 8 weeks or so
4. We will not be ordering extra shirts or doing another run, this is the final chance to purchase
5. Shipping rates are set by Canada Post
6. If you choose local pick-up, we will contact you via email with pick up dates and times. We do not have a store front so pick-up dates and time will be set for you to choose from - we will select a few weekends and evenings for pickup.

This Thanksgiving we are thankful for the numerous volunteers who assist in making our largest fundraiser, Friday the 13th, a success. Each event hundreds of volunteers donate their time to assist in the many activities throughout town including selling merchandise, camping, parking, bartending, general bar staff and much more.

We are still looking for volunteers for this Thursday and Friday if you are interested.

Here it is....the official band line up for this October's only Beer Garden hosted by the Kinsmen Club of Port Dover.

Beer tent will open at noon on Thursday and 11 am on Friday.

We've got a wide range of entertainment lined up including local favourite Bill Durst, a tribute to CCR with Mystic Highway, Practically Hip giving us some of the best of the Hip closing out Thursday night and of course, closing out Friday night is everyone's favourite Back in Black with a tribute to AC/DC.

The Kinsmen Club of Port Dover is a volunteer organization who raises money from this event to support community events, initiatives, charities and organizations. All money raised goes back to the community, so thank you for supporting the Kinsmen Club of Port Dover.

I’d like to put a push on to get players registered and paid up as soon as possible.

Not looking to cut off registration at this point but need to get a better handle on number of players for planning teams, uniforms/shirts, equipment, coaches and sponsors.

A couple of notes:

· Currently planning T Ball on Monday nights in Port Dover

· Jr 5 Pitch (U7) was Thursday night in Port Dover last year, but getting vibes soccer is same night, so will survey parents later

· Sr 5 Pitch/tyke (U9): Introducing players to pitching. Pitchers pitch 4 pitches to the opposing batter with offensive coach taking over if no action. This level will play in the Haldimand Erie league. Typically, 1 game a week (either home or away) and a practice.

· ALL PLAYERS OVER TBALL AGE, MUST SUPPLY THEIR OWN BATTERS HELMET WITH A CAGE

· We are running indoor sessions Tues, Thurs nights, contact Pete for more info.

In order to have a more reasonable # of players for indoor, we are going to have all players U13 and up come from 7:00 till 8:15 on Thursday nights.

We will likely split into 2 groups later if number of players increases.

PORT DOVER MINOR SOFTBALL - 2023 T Ball, 5 pitch and softball season.

LOOKING FOR ASSISTANCE. ESPECIALLY IN SOME OF THESE AREAS:
• SOME ONE TO COORDINATE EACH OF INDOOR TBALL, JUNIOR 5 PITCH, SENIOR 5 PITCH AND VARIOUS SOFTBALL GROUPS (AS WELL AS HELPERS) I will usually be in attendance.
• EXECUTIVE: DIRECTORS, PRESIDENT, VP, TREASURER, SECRETARY, SPONSORS, SUMMER COACHES, GENERAL HELP … plan to have a meeting with those interested in helping to determine how to split things up. I will continue to do what is required to keep things going, but need to step back a bit.

Age categories: Age groups are based on the age the player turns in 2023
• T Ball (U5) (turning no older than 5 in 2023) … we allow players turning 3 to try it. Summer season 1 night a week in Port Dover.
•
• Junior 5 pitch (U7) (turning no older than 7 in 2023) … we allow players turning 5 to try it summer season likely 1 night a week in Port Dover. Perhaps a practice depending on coach/parents
•
• Senior 5 Pitch or senior tyke (U9). Introducing players to pitching. Pitchers pitch a minimum number of pitches to the opposing team with offensive coach taking over at a certain point. This level would play in the Haldimand Erie league. Typically, 1 game a week (either home or away) and a practice.
•
• Regular Softball the categories will be U11, U13, U15, U17, U19 and U23. For example, U11 would be for players turning 10 and 11 in 2023. Depending on numbers, may have to combined age groups so have enough players. Typically, at least a 1 game a week (either home or away) and a practice

Fees likely??: TBall and 5 pitch $50, softball $110 (will send out an “official” registration link later)

Who will we see next Friday in Port Dover?? Official Friday the 13th Shirt from the Kinsmen Club of Port Dover will be available in the Elmer Lewis Parking Lot on Main Street. First come, first serve.
