The Plan
In the summer of 2014, Seed by Seed speakers Mischa and Danielle will embark on a cycling tour across Canada, delivering speeches and workshops to schools and youth groups. Our tour aims to raise awareness about food issues to empower students to create local and global change through their everyday choices, and to create action plans that focus on reconnecting their health, communities a
nd the environment to a sustainable food system. This three month tour starts out west in Victoria BC, with the final strop St. Johns Newfoundland. The bike tour is the kickstart of the Seed by Seed project, and combines several values of the organization; speaking, cycling, adventure and connecting with the environment and people across the country. We believe that people need to understand of the power of food. Food plays a fundamental role in determining our health, shaping communities and impacting the environment. Everyday, the choices we make as consumers have an influence on our food system, and we believe that youth have the power to be ambassadors of change within their communities to reconnect people with their food to create a sustainable future. Check out our interactive map to watch our progress as we track across the country, as well as key dates of the tour.
