The Bowen Island Yacht Club is a friendly, family-oriented club which has provided a sail training program for over 20 years.

Tomorrow is Bowfest and BIYC will have a float in the parade. Our coaches have been working hard on making their imaginative design come to life.
Please join the BIYC float in the BICS parking lot at 10:15 am. The theme is "underwater". Feel free to throw together a last minute costume, wear your BIYC t-shirt or come as you are!

We need a minimum of 24 garments ordered (any type, colour, or size counts) for this project to go ahead. Thanks for your support, we really hope this project will fly ;)
Anyone (members, family, friends, skippers, crew, STAR WARS fans, etc) is welcome to place an order and we will pick up and distribute on Bowen later this month. Or you could pick up yours from the printer in Burnaby (look for that option on checkout).
We are sorry that we weren't able to include youth sizes this year.

BIYC is hosting a holiday get together December 3, downstairs at Doc’s 4-9. Proof of vaccination is required. There will be kids’ ornament making for our BIYC sponsored tree for the Festival of Trees. Cookies and hot chocolate for kids and an adult social! Come and join us!

The BIYC has the opportunity to be gifted a 1970s C&C 32 foot sailboat. The boat is in tip top shape and would be a great boat for keelboat adult learn to sail and local racing. As 2020 draws to a close, we want to say a huge "thank you" to all our sailors, their families, our coaches and all those who supported Learn to Sail this year. We wish you a happy and healthy Holiday Season, and we look forward to having you with us on the water in 2021.

Hello Sailors and Parents,
The Early Bird registration discount ends at midnight on Sunday, May 31. Some of our camps are already full and others are filling up, so please register and claim your spot.

We are very excited to be going ahead with our sailing camps this summer. In order to keep everyone safe and to ensure that we are following Provincial government and BC Sailing guidelines and recommendations, we are making changes in how our camps will operate. We will ensure that our boats and equipment are cleaned, we will observe social distancing and our camps will be smaller.
We are looking forward to having your sailor with us on the water this summer!
