Pixel Eye care Centre team, Meet Kim! Kim came to us from the small town of Almonte, Ontario, where she was born and raised. The opitcal path fell into her lap over twenty five years ago and she has since made it her career. She has worked for and with many opticians and optometrists throughout the Ottawa Valley. She has gained plenty of experiece, knowledge and skills throughout all of her years in this field. She will continue to better herself to keep providing the best patient care.

Dr. Youssef Neema and Dana from our Pixel team talk to the Fall Prevention class in Kemptville at the Southgate church about ocular health and diseases causing risk of falling. It was such an inspiring time to connect with the community.

Meet Dana Abdul Massih! Dana attended Carleton University receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Law, minor in Disability Studies and minor in American Sign Language. Post graduation, Dana’s path crossed with Pixel and began a wonderful journey of learning and opportunities. The extraordinary team at Pixel is what makes it standout within its community, aiming to provide the best service to their patients.
Dana enjoys spending time with her family and puppy, along with taking care of her plants.

Meet Markou Rizk! Markou is our licensed Optician! His journey began at Carleton university where he received his Bachelor of Science in biochemistry. During his studies, he was intrigued about the eyes and the visual system. This helped him purpose and obtain his Opticianry Degree at Georgian college in Barrie Ontario, he developed his skills in glasses fitting, adjustments, and contact lenses fitting. He relocated back home to Ottawa to join his family and community.

Markou enjoys a lot of outdoor activities such as football and hiking but also likes his video games and is known for his collection of shoes.

Meet Dr. Ghassan Neema! Dr. G. Neema is our senior optometrist with over 30 years of experience. He received his Medical degree and a residency in Ophthalmology in 1983 from the University of Damascus, and he served as the chief of Ophthalmologist for 23 years in Syria. Dr. G. Neema then relocated to Ottawa and received his Optometry degree from University of Waterloo, and has been serving the community since then.
Dr. G. Neema is caring and passionate about his patients , his outgoing personality and invaluable experience makes him very approachable and keeps him connected with his patients.
Dr. G. Neema enjoys spending time with his family and his favorite time of the year is summer so he can work on his BBQ skills.

Meet Dr. Youssef Neema! Dr. Y. Neema journey began at Western University in London Ontario. He received his Bachelor of Science with Honor and Specialization in Cell and Developmental Biology. He then relocated to Philadelphia where he joined Salus University (Pennsylvania College of Optometry). He graduated with honor and clinical excellence in Primary Care Optometry and Low Vision. During his training, Dr. Y. Neema worked along side renowned optometrist and ophthalmologist in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Connecticut and North Carolina. He finally came back to join his community and give back to his city and country.
Dr. Y. Neema enjoys playing guitar and he was a member of various bands in the past. He also enjoys working out, swimming and lots of outdoor activities.

Meet Dr. Fady Rizk! Dr. Rizk's journey began at Gerogian College in Barrie Ontario, where he earned a degree in Opticianry. Thereafter, he worked as a licensed Optician while attending University of Waterloo. He continued to build his skills and accumulate experience in cutting, edging and mounting lenses, as well as, styling, fitting and dispensing both glasses and contact lenses.
After obtaining his Honours Bachelor of Science Degree from University of Waterloo, he began his Optometry training at Pennsylvania College of Optometry, Salus University in Philadelphia. During this time, he was able to work with various Ophthalmologists and renowned leaders in eyecare in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, North Carolina, San Jose, and Virginia Beach.
Dr. Rizk then joined his family and community in Ottawa, and has been providing full optometric services since. Dr. Rizk enjoys spending time with his family, going to the gym and playing soccer.
