Well, where to begin about a long list of support that Nutsmith Foods has had since we re-began in early 2022! Customers! Family! Friends!...so much support. Here's a short video Hants-Kings CBDC did to promote some of the wonderful local businesses in our region!...ourselves included!

Our newest location to grab our delicious nut butters just opened March 8 on Water Street in downtown Windsor, NS: our hometown! We’ll be sure to keep them stocked, so pop by and see Angela for all your nut butter needs!
We are striving to offer a shopping destination offering products from Canadian women-owned companies. Sometimes we have to compromise. And when we do, we ensure it’s totally worth it.
NutSmith Foods is not only Canadian, it’s super local, like down the street local. And, although not *as* local, Canadian made, Peace by Chocolate, is based only about two hours away.
And, is there any better pairing than chocolate and peanut butter? I mean, c’mon.
Stop in today and take home some locally made comfort food!

We know Jan 24 is Peanut Butter Day to commemorate Marcellus Gilmore Edson, Canadian chemist and pharmacist who, in 1884 patented a way to make peanut paste (our beloved peanut butter), but March 1 is also a day set aside for Peanut Butter Lovers everywhere, commemorating the first commercially available peanut butter in the US! (And yes, November is Peanut Butter Lovers Month...what can we say: people love their peanut butter)!
So to celebrate today we thought we'd let you know that FINALLY we have Organic Peanuts en route, having been shipped today from our supplier, ready to be made into our fabulous Naturally Nutty line of organic peanut butters! This is a long time coming, given the disruptions we've been experiencing in the supply chain, but we know there will be some excited people when this product hits shelves across Atlantic Canada again!
What's your favourite recipe involving peanut butter as a main ingredient?
Well, it shouldn't be difficult to realize what luxuries Canadians have surrounding themselves on a daily basis...so take a moment (or two or more) today and be extra appreciative of all those that have served and continue to serve Canada in making and keeping it's foundation intact.

A massive 'Thank you!' to all who have supported Nutsmith...whether that's been measured in hours, days, weeks, years or decades. It's lovely to be here!

Our email is fixed!
To all of the wonderful mom's...
For those of you who have been trying to send any email inquiries, we have a bit of a glitch with our new email. I will update once everything is sorted out. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.
Happy Earth Day!..although everyday should be Earth Day for everyone always...
Looking forward to some green initiatives as the new Nutsmith space comes together! We already reside in a building that uses rainwater harvesting for it's entire facility! Very cool technology and the water here comes out in better condition than many wells or utility lines!
We appreciate the shout out!
Great news for one of our fave local businesses, NutSmith Foods (aka Naturally Nutty).
When the owners got ready to retire, we were told it was the end of the line for our favourite peanut butter makers but happily, there was a last minute change. The new owners need a beat to get the business relocated and their organic certification updated but we are happy to announce that they will be back on our shelves before too long.
We have some of their tahini and a few big 5 Lb tubs of peanut butter to tide you over until then.
End of an era?...not quite yet...
Greetings.
I’m very pleased to let you know that the Nutsmith Foods company and all it's associated product lines have been transitioned (legally as of March 28, 2022) into new ownership and management. I'm very thankful to David Browning and the Nutsmith Foods team for this opportunity to continue providing products that have spanned decades to consumers throughout Atlantic Canada and I certainly appreciate that loyalty.
Part of this transition entails a relocation of operations. I have initiated an aggressive approach to this transition to create minimal disruptions to product availability.
At this time, I respectfully request your patience. There have been measures put in place to provide some products throughout the transition but there will only be full product availability (excluding organic – certification time pending) in approximately 1-2 months (estimated) time. I have a lease for our new production space at The Station Food Hub (1989 Wentworth Road, Newport Station), which is a perfect fit for Nutsmith, and have begun the renovations required for CFIA and organic certification standards.
I’m also thoroughly pleased to let you know that Rebecca Brazzell will continue employment with our new Nutsmith Foods (version 2.0) venture. Not only is Rebecca a delight to deal with (as you’d already know if you’ve spoken to her before) but she’s also very knowledgeable regarding all things Nutsmith Foods. It will be my pleasure to continue working with her and other employees who played a role in the Nutsmith Foods operation.
I am proud that this legacy product line (established and grown over several decades!) with the same quality and taste will continue to be available. I’m also excited about potential product development in the future.
I look forward to your continued business and our mutual support into the future.
I apologize for any inconvenience or disruption to current orders, your accounting or payments this situation has created. For the time being you can consider many Nutsmith products temporarily unavailable, like many products throughout these Covid times have been, as you may have noticed.
You can contact us anytime using the following authorized Nutsmith Foods emails/numbers and we'll be sure to post notification when we are fully capable of production and your orders can be filled. Our website (www.nutsmithfoods.ca) is currently under development :
