The BeadTrails Experience is made up of 3 amazing parts.

1. A fun activity spanning 20 communities in the region. Follow the BeadTrails quail to experience local wineries, businesses and tourist attractions. As you visit each location you can purchase their unique bead to add to your bracelet. P

Happy Canada Day Everyone!! This will be the last post from myself, aka The Bead Lady and the much-loved mascot Sid the quail. After 14 years in business, the time has come to retire and announce that the BeadTrails Experience has come to an end. It has been an amazing journey and a pleasure to see so many locals and tourists having fun on the trails, discovering beads and stories all over the Okanagan and beyond.
Immense gratitude and appreciation to all the business members who took part in the one-of-a-kind self-guided tour. And to the awesome team over the years with whom many cups of tea were consumed whilst working together.
There are still plenty of beads out there available to collect at various destinations, so have some this Summerland and collect as many beads as you can while stocks last! Support local. It really does mean a lot and makes a difference to our communities.
Wear your memory bracelet with pride! It may be the end of the trails but the stories and tales will go on...
Ps. There will be some beads and bracelets available at the Ryga Festival Fundraiser of the 27th July, partial proceeds will support the Ryga Festival Society. Ticket links to attend at the beautiful Oak Estate Winery can be purchased here:

Our Story

A scavenger hunt ending in a memory bracelet! A fun activity spanning 21 communities in the region. Follow the BeadTrails quail to experience local wineries, businesses, tourist attractions, cideries and distilleries. As you visit each location you can purchase their unique bead to add to your bracelet. Pick up a map at Visitor Centres and participating locations or plan your route using our online interactive map. You can also take a sneak-peek at the bead charms online!

As well as our BeadTrails page we have an Explorers & Collectors Group where you can chat with fellow beadtrailers and share your stories and photos! Follow us on twitter and Instagram too!

BeadTrails H.Q. is located at the BeadTrails Experience store in Summerland. Call into our studio to see the business beads - we can't sell those ones to you - but we have a wide-range of other fun beads and jewelry. You can pick up our very own quail bead! We also stock locally made gifts, cards and art pieces. Sit in our famous bead-chair and get your photograph taken with Sid our lovable quail mascot.
