Sharing this mornings devotion - I hope you enjoy!

The world won’t love you broken. But Jesus—He will run to you. We all break. We all come apart, and experience heartbreak, disappointment, and hardship. Sometimes terrible things happen to us that don’t make sense.
�Our struggles are not our identities, and with God, our brokenness never has the final say.�
Like a piece of Japanese Kintsugi pottery that has been shattered and then mended by a gold lacquer, by breaking and coming to God, not only can we become more whole, we can become more beautiful. Christ’s power that has overcome death mends the places we are crushed, making us whole to shine like gold.

God’s eternal plan for you is good. Sometimes we experience our mending on this side of eternity. Sometimes we just get glimpses of it in this life. But if we don’t, we know it is coming in heaven, and that one day every tear will be wiped away (Revelation 21:4). There will be no more mourning, no more death, or loss, or heartache. Restoration, healing, and wholeness are coming. Do not let your heart be troubled. �
God, Thank You that You promise to redeem the pain and brokenness in my life. Thank You that Your eternal plan for me is good. I choose to trust that in Your perfect time, You will mend every shattered piece of my life and bring beauty from brokenness.

Sitting down this morning during my devotions and looked up to see this daffodil stem with a vibrant yellow bloom reaching out to say good morning! After reading that Daffodils symbolize rebirth, new beginnings, hope, joy, and good luck I sat back and admired the plant in full bloom and received all those promises. Have a wonderful day everyone! A donkey symbolizes peace and stands for meekness and peace. Jesus chose to ride a donkey to fulfill a prophecy in the Book of Zechariah: "Behold, your king is coming to you, humble and mounted on a donkey."

I caught this picture as I watched this rider take off the horses bridle and run free. The trust she must have loosing her control of steering and stopping. I’m sure she’s trained the horse to steer with her legs maybe but I thought this picture illustrates how God calls us to live. Trusting Him - Proverbs 3:5-6 - Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;. in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. This isn’t always easy to do - giving up control but when we do God brings us to a safe stop and protects us during the ride of life.

Last day of holidays and I’ve enjoyed sketching and journaling each morning! This one hit close to home. I sketched from a reference photo I found. I remember my mom reading the book called The Ugly Duckling to me when I was little. My heart hurt for the duckling. I was a sensitive kid. lol 😂 sensitive adult too! I’m not sure about you but I’ve felt the pain of rejection and not being enough at times in my life. But this picture is a reminder that God sees my heart. God sees a swan. Pencil Art ✏️ started working with pencils - learning something new is so fun! ❤️

About a Year ago this big orange tabby cat showed up at our farm. He’s huge too! I only saw glimpses of him because he was very wild and when he saw me he’d run away. He was afraid of people I think. Over the months he’d get better at just standing still from a distance but not running when I’d be in the yard. I would just look at him and go about my business. Showing that I was no threat. Eventually he made his home in the barn but as soon as I opened the door he’d book it out fast. Months went by and he became less and less afraid of me. Still unsure but not running. When I was up in loft getting a bale the other day I walked over and took this picture. As I stood just looking at him I thought even animals can learn to trust again. The little guy beside him is his son who loves his daddy.

It felt good to know he trusted me and I wasnt gonna hurt him. It took work but we were successful 😊❤️🙏

Working in my Barn this morning! It’s 120 years old - feels like there’s 120 stories of the good old days in here. A hard working life for sure back then but simple and uncomplicated at the same time. Feels so calm and safe here! Like I’m in hands of loving grandparents!

With the above triangle we see God is at the top point and the Husband and Wife are the two bottom points. The illustration is this: The closer the husband and wife are to God, the closer they are to each other and develop more attributes that are essential for their marriage to last for years.

Thoughts for today:

I’m one of those people who read every self help article and video. This was what I listened to today :

If you want to heal sadness you first have to be SAD. If you want to heal fear you first have to actually be AFRAID. You can’t try and psychoanalyze your way out of it. And if you can give yourself permission to fully be your experience it will be a matter of moments that it starts to dissolve and unhook itself. It’s our commitment to being fully your experience that gives whatever the experience is the permission to integrate to heal and release.

I grew up learning to just be tough and strong. So fully being in the experience was a bit foreign! I think when your super busy working and raising a family at least for me I was to busy to fully be in my experience - now in this season I’m realizing that this evercise might be good to practice.
