My little Beans, namesake of Beans Bakery, celebrated her 2nd birthday on planet Earth today 🥲💜 She is funny, kind, sweet, silly, and such a happy peanut, and was the most deserving of a very special Frozen themed cake. She formed a borderline-obsessive fascination with Frozen this summer, so this was very fitting. I have never baked anything with as much love as I did these beauties. A chocolate cake with chocolate frosting, paired with chocolate cupcakes and marshmallow frosting. I even made some candy glass to top the cake off for a little extra Frozen oomph. The excitement on her face as she ran to her cake and balloons made my heart explode 🩵 After asking for birthday cake for two weeks, my girl finally got to dig in. Happy Birthday baby girl 🤍🩵💜

These cuties are headed to a baby sprinkle ✨💖 we did a funfetti cake, and the vibe was pink, blue & colourful sprinkles. So cute & fun and perfect for welcoming a new little bean 💕

First wedding ✅🥳🥲😄 This was an absolute honour to do and I feel so lucky to have been a part of such a special day. When I was approached this spring about doing these cakes, I was terrified. I’ve never baked a cake so large before (the sheet cake serves 54) or been a part of such a major life event. I’m so happy with how these cakes came out and I hope the bride, groom and guests enjoy every bite 🤍 thank you Marilyn & Darrell for the opportunity, and congratulations! 🥂

A little bit of what I’ve been up to recently 🩷🌈

This Minnie Mouse cake was for a very special little girl turning 3, and I was given full creative freedom with the Minnie Mouse theme. I’ve been eager to try a vintage cake, as the piping was intimidating, and had a lot of fun creating this. Of course, no Minnie Mouse cake is complete without a big bow on top! 🎀 We went with a rich, chocolatey cake and chocolate frosting for the birthday girl.

This colourful rainbow cake was another opportunity to have some fun with colour. I always love a bright, colourful cake and really enjoyed making this. The funfetti cake is packed with sprinkles and finished with vanilla bean buttercream for a classic flavour.

These ✨magical✨ cupcakes are headed to a special girl’s 5th birthday today 🦄🌈🩷 this was my first time making and using fondant to create horns and ears. I’ve always wanted to make colourful unicorn cupcakes, so this was a ton of fun! ☺️

These cupcakes are oh so cute & are a perfect combination of flowers and a sweet treat in one package 💕 I have a limited number of floral cupcakes available for Mother’s Day! Each box includes 6 cupcakes: 3 lemon cupcakes decorated as daisies, and 3 vanilla cupcakes decorated as hydrangeas. Pick up will be Friday, May 10th to accommodate anyone traveling out of town to see mom. Comment below if you’d like to purchase 🧁

👩🏻‍🍳 Baker’s Tip: if you don’t plan to eat these immediately, you can pop them into the freezer in an air tight container and they will stay fresh up to 3 months. Just pull out one hour before you’re ready to eat ☺️

This month’s pop up flavour is CARROT CAKE WITH SALTED MAPLE CREAM CHEESE FROSTING 🥕🤤 These are one of my most favourite cupcakes to make (and snack on). The carrot cake base is simple, no nuts or fruits, just carrots and spices that pair perfectly with the creamy frosting.

I have a limited number of boxes available for purchase, and they will be ready for pick-up in Milford Bay on Friday, March 29 (Good Friday). Each box contains six cupcakes for $25, and your order is confirmed once payment is received. E-transfers can be sent to [email protected], or cash can be dropped off. I will update once these have sold out.
