Cumberland StrongStart Centre
A FREE early learning centre for children aged birth to 5 years and their parents/caregivers. Close StrongStart Centres are open during the school year.
Families with children aged from birth to school age are welcome to attend StrongStart centres on an ongoing basis or drop-in schedule. StrongStart centres are not designated as child care programs and families and caregivers must be in attendance with their children. Children, families and caregivers attending StrongStart centres can:

Hello Cumberland families Our last Fresh Air Friday is at Lewis Center Splash Park, 9-11:30am. It looks like it is going to be a gorgeous day, so dress accordingly, bring a hat and water bottle, and lets have some fun :)
It's CCS Beach Day tomorrow 😎 ⛱️
The whole school will be there, with busses arriving around 10am and leaving to head back to the school at 1:30pm.
The weather looks great. Bring your hat, sunscreen and water bottle and see you at Airforce Beach for some sun and fun 😀

Fun Day is tomorrow! The festivities are from 9am until noon. There will be face painting, games and snacks. I will be manning a station, so come find me on the Strathcona field.
Friday is our year-end BBQ at Kye Bay, 9am until noon. There will be hot dogs, salads, fruit, drinks etc. Come join the fun 😎⛱️

Next Tuesday, June 18th, is the school Beach Day at Airforce Beach. Families wishing to join us (there will be no in-classroom StrongStart that day) have the opportunity to order lunches through CCSS. Here is the link for ordering:

For those families that have children attending kindergarten in September, we are going to be offering 6 afternoon classroom visits, from 1-2:30pm. We will meet in the SS room at 1pm for a quick gather and play, and then make our way to one of the three k classrooms. Please choose from the following dates:
