Jayda has many years of experience in kitchen design, and not to sound too cheesy, but her favorite aspect of kitchen design is the ability to be creative with her work. Dedicated to every aspect of a project, she enjoys seeing each new project come to life.

Aside from searching for the best Old Cuban recipe (send any and all recipes her way!), most days she can be found working on home renovations, relaxing at home with a good book, or dreaming up ways to visit Switzerland for the chance to see the alpine cow parade.🐮

In many traditional Winnipeg homes, you will find character in the architecture, such as alcoves or built-in shelving units within recessed areas. Adding a built-in, as we did in our Richmond project, is a simple, functional, and beautiful way to utilize an alcove like this in the dining room!

She thrives in helping clients bring their unique ideas to life amidst all the endless possibilities. Currently obsessed with Pepsi Lime, it’s the perfect refreshment while working on her never-ending list of home reno/DIY projects. While she enjoys working on her home, her ultimate favorite place on earth is soaking up the sun in Maui, Hawaii.

These homeowners were a dream to work with! They were excited to renovate the whole kitchen as opposed to just replacing the cabinets, allowing us to create a more efficient and functional space for them. We removed the peninsula (and kitchen table!) from the design and installed a large island with conversational seating. They fell in love with our Reef stain paired with the rich grain of the Oak material and chose to pair it with Pavilion Grey cabinetry, which perfectly compliment each other.

Selecting the perfect appliances for your space, budget, and style is an important part in every kitchen design. With so many different styles and types of cooktops and ovens available today, the selection process can be quite overwhelming!

Your first step will be determining what size appliances make sense for you.

If you have a particularly small kitchen, or live in an apartment or condo, you may want to reduce the size of these appliances from the very common 30” wide models, to apartment size options.

Or if you are someone who loves to be in the kitchen, frequently find yourself using 4 or more burners, and find the need for an extra oven regularly, upgrading to a 36” or larger cooktop/ range plus double wall ovens will be best to make cooking and hosting a breeze!

Step two will be determining what style cooktop or range will work best for you. Three typical types are electric, gas and induction.

There’s nothing better than a kitchen before/after to end the week!

These homeowners came in looking to renovate their kitchen and together we designed a fresh new space with plenty of pantry storage, custom pullouts, and functional cabinet space. We were also able to add an island with a hidden trash pullout and extra seating!

One of the busiest spaces in any home is the mudroom or entryway and in our messy Manitoba winters they get worked overtime. Especially after all the snow days we’ve had! Planning a well organized, durable space for all the layers can minimize and contain the mess on those winter days!

Bonus! Creating space for a dog wash station can be a life saver in keeping the rest of your home clean all year round. 🐶
