Nouveau Club: Salade de Fruit Lafayette:
L'échantillon pour mon nouveau cours est dans la boutique! Ce sera un "Club", ce qui signifie qu'au lieu de réunion hebdomadaire, la classe se réunira une fois par mois sur une période de 6 mois, de donner aux élèves beaucoup de temps pour faire le «devoir».
On combine plusieurs techniques pour créer une courtepointe tout à fait unique :
-Pointes folles
-Confection de bandes sur le biais
-Combinaison d’appliqués à la machine et à la main
-Piquage à la main avec fils cotton perlé (Piquage à gros points)
-bordure de finition 2-couleurs.
Nous avons un cours du matin qui commence le 15 Septembre et un cours d'après-midi qui commence le 1er Octobre.

New Class: Lafayette Fruit Salade:
The sample for my new class is in the shop! It will be a "Club", which means that instead of meeting weekly, the class will meet once a month over a period of 6 months, giving students lots of time to do the 'homework'.
Skills acquired are:
-crazy piecing
-bias making
-machine andhand applique
-Big Stitch hand quilting
-making a two color binding.

Spent a week at the cottage enjoying the gorgeous weather and quilting my latest quilt. Hand quilting with perle cotton.
It is for a new class I will be teaching this fall at Courtepointe Claire.
Je viens de passer une semaine au chalet. Le beau temps m'a donner la chance de finir le piquage de ma dernière courtepointe. Piquage à la main avec coton perlé. Ce sera partie d'un nouveau cours cette automne chez Courtepointe Claire.

Ginette's king-sized quilt required about 12 meters of binding which took 7 hrs to make and install. Two hours to make it and sew onto the front by machine, and 5 hrs of hand-sewing to the back. My favorite part is the hand sewing!
