No One Goes Woodworking

Over the next few weeks I’ll be teaching a woodworking class . So far we’ve made scratch awls, centre finders and tonight was sanding blocks. Some of the students even gave an old school bit and brace a try!

The most recent addition to my kitchen knives, a Bunka style knife which is a popular blade with Japanese chefs. After some usage I have to say it is a fantastic, well balance and extremely sharp knife!

Some new knives added to the kitchen arsenal!

Just walked into my teenagers room and noticed they “accessorized” a little giraffe I carved…

I was asked to replicate the famous Mosquito in Amber Cane from Jurassic Park with a unique piece of amber from the client. It was an interesting challenge and turned out pretty good if I do say so myself!

No time for the shop today, too busy helping recover squash for BL’s Little Free Pantries. Today we loaded and transported close to 2,000 lbs of squash for those in need.

A recent birthday gift for a young lad near and dear to the family. Over 4’ long the blade and shield are made of spalted maple, guard and pommel in roasted maple and the handle is walnut. Just yesterday he presented me with another design which we’re going to make together.
