It is with very heavy hearts that we learned of the passing of one of Australia’s legendary winemakers. Francis d’Arenberg Osborn, know as d’Arry his whole life. He was a kind, funny and loving man. We had the pleasure to meet him a couple of times and his wisdom and love for Aussie wine was infectious. Our thoughts are with his family and we will raise a glass of Custodian Grenache tonight to honour this amazing man.

Great news: The Hendry 2019 Pinot Noir just received 91 points in Wine Enthusiast’s December Best of the Year Buying Guide! Thank you, Joshua Greene and the Wine Enthusiast! You may already know that “moderate tannins, judicious oak spices and good acidity,” are key to its ability to easily handle richer dishes. Don’t forget the “tangy red cherry and rhubarb…with subtle cinnamon, clove and cedar notes,” which add to its complexity, making it soooo tasty with a tantalizing array of foods! AB SKU # 739889.
