Great tech alert from Mari Smith. Pass it on and help keep your team safe.
What is with these fake pages constantly harassing us? 😡 Can't Facebook's sophisticated AI tell when their *own* logo is being used to set up a new Page? And then nix it before the bots and bad actors start wreaking havoc?!? 😳
The scammers were mostly favoring phishing DMs lately, including supposed customer service complaints (with links for zip files). Or comments. Or @ tagging your Page. Now it seems tons of them *share* your Page posts because you can't untag yourself. Still, each time, my team and I tap through to the scammy Page to REPORT and BLOCK. Unreal. 🤦🏼♀️
What is so troubling to me is that many folks out there are falling for these various scams. And as a result get their account hacked, compromised, or shut down even. Ugh! 😫 The worst is when they get into your Ad Account and start racking up your credit card bill with erroneous ads. How in the heck Meta's AI approves these is beyond me.
Friends, please remember how critical it is to the safety of your personal profile, Pages, Groups, Ad Account, personal data, and credit card to *fiercely protect* your account!! Don't click on links in DMs. Don't fall for these scammy FB Pages trying to trick you. 🤺🥊 Make sure you have two-factor authentication set up using a proper authenticator app like Google Authenticator or Duo Mobile or similar. 📱🔐
Any questions, please just let me know. I'm happy to help best I can!!
