You can learn a lot about a wine just by looking at it. (Don’t worry, we do let you taste as well!)
In our WSET classes we teach you how to use a wines appearance, smell and taste to uncover nuances like what climate a wine came from, what grape variety it is and what winemaking was done.
You will learn how just tasting a wine blind can tell us so much about what the wine is and where it comes from. Every wine has a lot to say.

WSET Level 2 is also starting soon in Kelowna with this day release course running three Tuesdays - Feb 28, March 7 & 21. There is still space in this course and great timing to get your WSET training before the winery hiring season begins.

Wine Plus+ is owned and operated by Rhys Pender MW. Rhys is a Master of Wine who combines his time writing, judging, teaching, consulting and dirtying his boots at his 4 acre vineyard and winery - Little Farm Winery - in the Similkameen Valley of BC, Canada. He runs a wine school, Wine Plus+, and judges wine competitions nationally and internationally such as the Decanter World Wine Awards, TexSomm as well as the National Wine Awards of Canada for WineAlign. In 2018, Rhys’s contribution to the industry was acknowledged as one of just five global nominees for the WSET Outstanding Alumni Award. To make sure he eats well he has also completed a Professional Culinary Diploma and has been named by Western Living magazine as one of the “Top 40 Foodies Under 40” in Western Canada. Rhys is a regular contributor to publications such as SIP, Vitis, Macleans, Montecristo and Taste.
