in my garden, blue vervain grows with the asparagus. Unfortunately, they bloom too late to attract asparagus beetle predators. Other flowering plants fill in in the meantime.

I found this lovely iris already growing in a clump at a local garden centre. They bloomed the first season and survived winter well.
