I had some design fun with the interiors of a new house I built in Cordova Bay, Victoria last year. The property developer allowed me to design the kitchen and fireplace in this fine home.
Nothing sets a house apart like a unique fireplace, if you ask me!

Apartment condo renovations can certainly be imaginative with the help of a talented design firm.

Many of these latest posts are from a home renovation performed in the Ten Mile Point neighborhood of Victoria. The homeowners wanted to have their own little paradise; one that embodies their desire for distinctive designs that deepen their fascination with island living. Check out this incredible fireplace! This may be one of the most creative and complicated features I've done in 30+ years. It's layered two types of quartz with black painted wood elements. This simple elegance took me about 40 hours to conceive and detail how to build it. A shout-out to the stone masters at Stone Age Marble in Victoria for the talent involved with the quartz fabrication and installation! Kudos to the homeowners for the faith they put in Discovery Bay Homes and my suppliers to pull off this creative work of art.

2021 was quite the year....
It's my 2022 New Years resolution to make time to show off some of the cool stuff I was able to design and build over the past couple of years.
This is a new house I designed (3D rendering). It's currently being built by a friend of mine at Foress Developments for a mutual client.

Well, it's been a while since I've posted. The insanity of the pandemic has taken the wind out of my sails along with any spare time I have to keeping the business moving forward. I know how we are all tired of it . . .
I finally wanted to share a pic of the small shed I built during that unbelievable spring of 2020 (in the spirit of "here we go again!")
During the short shut-down time for me, my creative side joined my carpenter side and put together a craft project for something to do. I took left over materials from previous projects and built this Covid themed shed in my yard with the cooped up animals on the double doors.
People walking on the adjacent pathway have been able to share the sentiment and have a chuckle.
