What do we think?! Is this an authentic vintage Murano lamp? It doesn’t seem to have any markings, (I think the electrics are consistent with real ones?) I was panic googling in the shop and found an excellent resource from .vintage.seeker (of course!). It was at an antique store and super reasonably priced, which makes you think it might not be authentic? So I would loooove some insight!

I don’t really mind if it’s real or not, I just love how it looks when it’s off & lit up! But I was also hesitant cuz they’re kind of an Instagram cliche now? I don’t know!! Let me know your thoughts! 💡

Then we went to the Mayfair theatre (built in 1932) to watch Elvis on the big screen in Jailhouse Rock. It was super fun! 🎥

Iconic comedian and fashionista, Joan Rivers first launched her own jewelry collection on QVC in 1990. The Joan Rivers Classics Collection had more than 6,000 products over the course of a 24 year relationship with QVC. ✨

According to her website, “Joan sought to make great fashion available to all women, incorporating her inimitable style and her high standards for quality.” Which is why we love her so much & why her pieces are still sought after by collectors today! She was always on top of the latest trends! I love that she was inspired by by historic designers like Faberge and pieces from royal collections, other celebrities, and even the military. 👑

After her passing, I had was flicking through tv channels and came across a QVC special with her longtime collaborator David Dangle who was taking us through soo many pieces from her 24 years of collections and designs. It was really interesting to hear how the designs came to be! 💖

I’ve had a few Joan Rivers pieces in the shop but this navy and gold bracelet is truly a classic piece that you can wear again and again - I really love it with jeans! & the quality really is top of the line! 💙

Locket love! 💕

Lockets have a long history in the jewellery world. They have been used to signify love, honour, mourning, commitment and would hold portraits, perfume, ashes locks of hair & even poison! ✨

One of the earliest lockets is actually a ring that belonged to Queen Elizabeth I from 1575 with a portrait of herself on one side and a portrait of her mother, Anne Boleyn on the other. (I’d recommend looking it up - the craftsmanship is amazing!) 👑

This heart shaped locket is soft & sweet with its ceramic painted peach rose! I love the long sparkly chain it’s on too! 💗🌸
