Most of you know me, but I thought for any newbies, the new year might be the perfect time to reintroduce myself. Welcome!

I'm a Holistic Nutritionist that has been spreading the word of good health for 12 years now. I preach spinach and kale but I also can never go a day without dark chocolate! I cannot cook without dancing (or sweep, or do the dishes, or drive) and I think food dye is the devil. But prior to becoming a foodie, I was busy making costumes for a Cirque Du Soleil.

I'm a proud Quebeçoise, but im loving my now hometown in Northumberland County, Ontario. After leaving Montreal, we lived in Toronto for 8 years. We quit the city for country life 5 years ago.

I met my husband while working on a cruise ship 19 years ago. We have been sharing adventures ever since but by far, our greatest adventure of all has been becoming parents. We have two very spirited daughters, Frankie + Jolene, that live life to the absolute fullest - forcing us to do the same:). I have been homeschooling them since covid started. Last year we became fur parents to a 3-legged Jamaican street dog named Charlie and recently to 3 friendly rats.

Everyday in the summer you will find me swimming in my backyard (the Trent River) with my kids, and now most days in the winter too! I have started a new hobby - ice dipping/polar plunging, and I am falling head over heels in love with it!

Along with cooking, dancing + ice dipping, my passion is the environment. I have been on a zero waste journey for almost 2 years now. And although I am far from being completely zero-waste, I continue to make conscious decisions everyday on how to show my love to Mother Earth. But more importantly, teach my girls how to take better care of it then I ever will!

5 fun facts about me:
~ My first concert was New Kids on the Block. My second was Metallica.
~ I traveled around South East Asia+ Austrailia for 6 months.
~ I used to be a smoker.
~ I snort when I laugh.
~ I was once in a motorcycle accident wearing no helmet, and walked away with only a few scratches.

The people have spoken! It was quite split down the middle so I’m going to attempt to please everyone! As of immediately, I will be raising the cost of my 3 salads from $10 to $12 each. However, I will still be keeping the jar return but dropping it from $1 to $0.50/jar. I hope that this will be a win-win for everyone cause I love you all!!❤️❤️❤️ thank you for your feedback!

I NEED YOUR HELP! Since launching SK almost 2 years ago now, I have been so very happy on everyone participating in the jar return. I sleep better at night knowing these pretty glass jars are not ending up in recycling bins- because we all know only 14% of what goes in there actually gets recycled! I love my jar return policy but since I actually pay less than $1/ jar but return $1/jar, my system is a bit flawed. And now what to do about rising food costs?? I know other fellow producers have had no choice but to raise their prices. What to do?? So I’m letting you, my amazingly supportive customers decide: do I raise my prices or take away the $1 jar return???
