Lip Filler

This beautiful patient has been coming to me for quite some time now. Her features support a larger lip that we refill with half of a syringe every 1 to 1.5 years or more. Her tox we do once every 5 months.

When we first start we were doing a full syringe, then once she had built a base of filler, i.e found the shape and size she wanted, we stuck with half every 8-9 months and now we have decided to "play it by ear". We reassess every tox appointment and see when her next lip filler appointment should be.

A great tip to keep in mind about us:
1. We do offer bigger lips if it will match your features and not look over done
2. Tox: dosing on a regular schedule in the beginning is beneficial long term. Your appointments will space out if we are 𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙨𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙡𝙮 𝙙𝙤𝙨𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙧𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩 𝙙𝙤𝙨𝙚. i.e this patient is now every 5-6 months and yes her tox lasts that long

Facial Balancing

This patient wanted a subtle enhancement for her lips and a natural, more balanced look in her lower face, particularly the jawline and chin. I generally recommend starting with chin filler, as it can significantly impact the lower face and not always require more in the jawline. After treating her chin, we achieved a noticeable enhancement, but it wasn’t as sculpted as she desired. To add more definition, we used Sculpt along the jawline.

The results remain beautifully natural. We used 2.5 syringes in total, with half dedicated to the lips. She may opt for additional lip filler once they settle, but my aim is to prevent migration by avoiding overfilling.

In the bottom photo, I added one unit above her brow to address a slight asymmetry in her brow lift. Now that we're aware of this, we'll adjust her next dose accordingly to achieve her ideal look.

This lovely patient came to me feeling that her lower face and side profile were a bit unbalanced. Upon assessment, I agreed, and we decided to enhance her chin and jawline to help create a more harmonious profile.

When assessing the profile, I look for alignment between the nose, upper lip, and chin.

In her before photo, you can see that these features do not align. My goal is never to overly plump the lips to match the chin and nose alignment, as that often results in unnaturally large lips. Instead, I elongated her chin to bring it more in line with her nose. This approach, along with enhancing the jawline, adds support to the lower face and creates balance.

As you can see in the after photo, her jawline is more defined, and there's less laxity in the submental area (double chin area). This also makes her lips look more balanced, as I added a small amount of filler to her upper lip, which had lost volume. Usually, for patients with similar lip concerns, I recommend dissolving existing filler and starting fresh.

However, this can be a significant change for some patients. If they choose not to dissolve, we compromise by adding a minimal amount of filler to areas of deficit without unnecessarily volumizing.

The result is a beautifully balanced and enhanced profile, achieved through careful assessment and a tailored approach to facial harmony.

This beauty has been coming to me for a while now! Her natural lips can handle a bit more filler, but we typically only do half a syringe every 8 months or so.

The focus is mainly on redefining the lips rather than adding unnecessary volume. She prefers when her top lip has more height, making it more proportionate with the bottom lip.

Lip Filler Tips:
- Stay hydrated and eat healthy.
- Avoid strenuous exercise for 48-72 hours.
- Avoid boiling hot or extremely cold drinks for the first day after fillers.
