The student cast and parent/caregiver volunteers have been working around the clock to deliver this two-night performance and we are eager to see the WHOLE school community in attendance. A full audience enriches the experience for everyone involved, enhances the educational impact and strengthens community ties. It also provides encouragement to the students performing; boosting their confidence and morale! Lastly, if we have a full house it will justify the resources and time invested in the arts and will signal if the school play is something that we invest our time and resources in for future years! All that to say .. you don't need to have a connection or "know" anyone in the cast for your family to have a wonderful time at Pape School's performance of Alice in Wonderland. Limited tickets available, so buy NOW to avoid disappointment.

Metrolinx is holding an open house at Pape School Tuesday May 28 from 6 - 7:30 pm in the school gym. Enter through the gym doors on Langley Ave. This is a public open house hosted entirely by Metrolinx — parent council and school staff will not be onsite taking notes. If you have questions about the Ontario Line construction and the impacts on the school and community you should plan to attend. I asked for an agenda and names/titles of the Metrolinx reps in attendance and was informed by Metrolinx of the following:
copy/paste:
"Several subject matter experts familiar with various construction activities will be on-site at the community open house. Residents can speak directly to our team members who participate in the monthly CLC meetings.
Our staff will be stationed at various interactive information panels across the room, ready to engage in detailed discussions about the Ontario Line work in the area and to answer any questions. This room setup is designed to ensure the community can participate in a fruitful exchange of information on various topics, including the utility and sewer relocations, the portal and tunnel, stations at Gerrard and Pape, and other needed activities."

As you will have already noticed, the Metrolinx work referenced in Ms Shea's March, 28 traffic letter impacting where drivers can park for a safe drop-off has not started yet. The traffic issue led us to wonder what the typical mode of transportation is for families getting to/from Pape School during the school week and we created a quick survey that will help us better inform and advocate for an actual traffic management plan. Please consider completing the survey here: https://forms.office.com/r/HQfJgxJDdC Thank you for your time.
