Are you new to podcasts? Not sure how to subscribe? You’re in the right place.
What is The CJN Podcast Network?
The CJN Podcast Network launched in the spring of 2019 to fill in a sorely lacking gap in the Canadian Jewish landscape: there’s no central audio network for Canadian Jews.
We’re like a radio station, producing various shows that fill different niches in our community. By partnering with Canadian Jewish institutions and chatting with guests from around the globe, The CJN Podcast Network continues The CJN’s own longstanding tradition of bringing intelligent, exciting, fresh information and insight to Jews across the country.
Do I have to pay to listen?
Nope! Podcasts are free. There’s no charge to subscribe, nor to download any podcast apps.
How do I subscribe?
It’s pretty simple. First, you have to choose a podcast app. Most Apple users prefer iTunes, since they have it downloaded already. Other popular apps include Spotify, Stitcher, PocketCasts and Google Podcasts. Most of these require you to create an account (which is usually also free), so you can keep all your podcasts together in one place.
You can click on any of the following URLs to subscribe via the most popular podcast apps:
The Canadian Jewish Shmooze
iTunes / Apple Podcasts
Google Podcasts
Spotify
Stitcher
Menschwarmers
iTunes / Apple Podcasts
Google Podcasts
Spotify
Stitcher
Once you subscribe, the device you used to subscribe (desktop computer, laptop, tablet or smartphone; it’s all good) will download the newest episode automatically.
How often do episodes come out?
Both the Shmooze and Menschwarmers are biweekly on alternate weeks. So if you subscribe to both, you’ll get new content every week, either on Thursday or Friday.
How can I complain about how horrible your hosts’ opinions are?
Email Michael Fraiman, the podcast network executive producer, at [email protected]. Be as harsh as you like; he’ll just be thrilled you listened and wrote in the first place.
