For those of you who don't know, we are a husband and wife run team. Running a business with your spouse can be tricky at times but it also makes it more fun, and we couldn't do it without each other!

This past weekend we were excited to cater an event that's been a few months in the making with our friends .

Before they were a winery, they were a campground and we were lucky enough to spend many summers camping lakefront at their site. We fell in love with their wine right from their first release, so when they reached out to us about catering their event we were thrilled to be part of it.

We were able to taste all the wines for the evening well ahead of time so we could curate bites to pair specifically with the wines being served.

We had a small version of our Little Bite Long Table out in the centre of the room for guests to enjoy all evening!

For the first course we paired their 2022 Viognier with an almond pastry cup, preserved lemon goat cheese mousse and poached pear, as well as seared scallop, pickles and balsamic bacon jam.

Second course with the 2017 Carmenere we paired a cumin braised lamb springroll and five spice fruit chutney, and a vindaloo charcoal chicken drum lolly with curry remoulade.

Next was the 2018 Eighteen paired with Yukon gold pave, smoked pork belly, chimichurri, and cotija cheese, as well as a herbed scotch egg with caviar from .

From here we had a palette cleanser of pink peppercorn strawberry rose sorbetto.

The last of the main courses was the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon paired with mole braised short rib on pupusa topped with crema, and mushroom arancini with maple bacon aioli.

Finally we finished the evening with the first red wine produced, their 2012 Twelve. With that we had chocolate mousse, raspberry whip and chili chocolate on top.

We had such a great time creating a menu designed around these beautiful wines, being part of the whole evening and watching everything come together so perfectly. Thank you for including us in this wonderful evening!

If you know Chef Jaeger, you'll know he's a big hockey fan and collector! Today is National Hockey Card Day in Canada and last night we had the pleasure of catering a private event for our good friends . They've just moved to their new location, we highly recommend you check them out.

Last weekend we had the pleasure of creating something special for a great client and friend of ours to celebrate a birthday milestone!

The spread consisted of charcuterie, cheese, fruit, vegetables, a number of house made dips and spreads, sweet sticky bacon fried chicken, shallot cheddar and spinach tortilla rolls, mini potato salad, sundried tomato pesto garlic bites, lobster rolls on mini brioche hoagie, candied nuts, house pickles, cowboy candy, potato crisps, crackers, and more! We also included a few house made desserts: fudge brownies with raspberry cream, apple bourbon maple yoghurt parfait, house made glazed doughnuts and chewy butterscotch snickerdoodle. Can you spot it all?
