Brighten the Night Christmas Parade & Kids Party

The Maynooth "Brighten the Night" Christmas parade will be held on SATURDAY, DECEMBER 9TH, at 5:30pm along the main street of Maynooth.

Before the parade, you can stop by the front of the library and municipal building for some hotdogs and hot chocolate, and after the parade, families are invited to bring their children to meet Santa in Emond Hall at the Hastings Highlands Centre.

Hwy 62 will be closed between Hwy 127 and the ANAF Rd. starting at 5:30pm for approximately 20-30 minutes while the parade is happening.

We know there's been some confusion over the dates for local parades, so just to confirm, Bancroft will be holding their parade during the day on Saturday, December 2nd, while Maynooth/Hastings Highlands will be holding our parade the following week on SATURDAY, DECEMBER 9TH.

Registration for floats in the Maynooth parade is not required, just show up at the Logger's Field at 4:30pm if you'd like your float judged, or 5:00pm if you'd just like to be in the parade. Floats from other parades welcome!

A member of the Maynooth & Area Food Bank will also have a table set up at the municipality to share information on the food bank and accept any donations of non-perishable food items you may have. Please check your expiration dates!
