Indigenous Model Call-Out
It’s with great enthusiasm that I share the news of a forthcoming fashion event, where I’ll be showcasing my work as an Indigenous Designer. Scheduled for July 12-14, 2024, the event promises a vibrant weekend festival brimming with creativity and style. Attendees can look forward to an array of Fashion Shows, featuring original designs, eco-conscious upcycled fashion, and youthful creations. The festival will also offer enriching workshops, thought-provoking panel discussions, professional photo shoots, and insights from a keynote speaker. Adding to the excitement will be live musical acts and a designer pop-up shop, among other highlights.. I am seeking Indigenous models passionate about representing my designs and showcasing traditional attire with a contemporary twist.
What I am Looking For:
1.) Indigenous individuals of all ages and genders.
2.) No prior modeling experience required – we welcome new faces!
3.) A strong connection to your cultural roots and a desire to represent Indigenous beauty.

3) Attach 2-3 photos that best represent you and your personality. Professional photos are not necessary; we’re looking for authenticity and natural beauty.

Indigenous Skills and Employment Training (ISET)

The NWAC ISET program helps Indigenous women and gender-diverse individuals fully participate in economic opportunities. NWAC believes education can help Indigenous women, girls, and gender-diverse people achieve economic success. Empowerment is the foundation for strong families and communities.
Through NWAC’s agreement with Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC) we are able to provide financial supports such as tuition, living allowance, childcare, job starts, and other resources to help Indigenous women and gender-diverse people reach their employment and skills training goals.
Client Eligibility:
Post-secondary funding for certificate and diploma programs, up to two years, or in the last two years of a degree program.
Indigenous women, trans-gender, Two-Spirited, and gender diverse individuals.
Must be 15 years of age or older.
Must be unemployed, under-employed, or able to demonstrate an immediate risk of being unemployed.
