Self leveling concrete
Less than 5 times to do this in pass 7 working history. scary 🫣

The area originally was a balcony and builder later decided to make it an indoor area, but there was a big slope between the edge and another side. It was around 2” difference. I poured 24 bags of self leveling compound in this area and took 2 days to prepare and do the job.

This reminds me that so many times that customers requested us to help them to level their subfloor when we installed click laminate or vinyl but I can’t. Because pouring self leveling concrete is the right way to level concrete subfloor and it has a cost there. If you don’t put budget for that, I really can’t do it for free.

For the click flooring, it is usually like 1.5CAD/SQFT foe installation. If an area is 650SQFT, the installation cost is 975CAD. If we have to people to that, it means a we need to complete it in one’s day. So, I don’t really have time to figure out your subfloor is level or not.

In short, if you want to have your click flooring installed without any bouncing spots, pouring self leveling concrete is the right way to achieve that.
