It’s been over 20 years since my last visit to Lutsel K’e, I attended my late great uncle Ernest’s funeral. There was a delicious feast afterwards, hand games demonstration and a drum dance to honour my uncle. Seeing my family be apart of this made my heart happy, especially watching my great uncle Albert (Ernest’s brother) playing hand games along side more of my Boucher family, putting smiles on everyone faces. I sat there smiling, enjoying the moment, helped uncle when I can with water, getting him a chair so he didn’t have to kneel on the floor, watching is moves … I loved it 💖
