Today, on National Truth and Reconciliation Day, the Student Refugee Program stands alongside the Indigenous community to honor and remember their rich heritage and resilience.

This day is a solemn reminder of the painful history of residential schools and the lasting impact they have had on Indigenous communities. It's a time to acknowledge the truth, support healing, and commit to reconciliation - together.

As we reflect on the past, let us also look to the future with hope and determination. Together, we can build a more inclusive and just Canada where the rights and cultures of Indigenous peoples are respected and celebrated.
