Here are the latest real estate market stats for the city of London.

With record low inventory prices are continuing in a steady increase, even as interest rates remain unchanged.

There is also increased interest and activity, resulting in shorter list times and quicker sales.

Affordability is still a major concern for buyers, but with some banks offering special rates at 4.99% again, we are seeing more buyer confidence resulting in increased sales activity.

Here are the latest market stats for the city of London and it looks like an upward trend in prices is continuing into the new year, especially when compared to where we were one year ago.

The only decrease was in condo sales as buyers are often weary of rising condo fees.

Here are the latest market stats for the city of London.

We actually saw a bit of a price increase this past month. Although homes took a bit longer to sell, the average was still just around 1 month. Not bad given that December is typically the slowest month for real estate.

Does this price increase mean that we have finally seen the bottom of the market?

Many lenders are now predicting that interest rates could start to drop as early as this summer. This will definitely bring more first time buyers back in and competition will certainly increase. And we all know that when competition is on the rise, so are prices.

So, depending on your situation, you may want to take advantage of the currently lower home prices now if you are looking to buy. However if you are thinking of selling, you may want to hold off for a couple of months as we will most likely see stronger sales in the spring market.

Here are your October market stats and while it may seem that there is a lot of fluctuation, we are pretty much where prices and sales were one year ago.

Condo prices are still the most affordable option. While these properties have an additional monthly maintenance fee, property taxes are lower for condos which help to offset this extra fee.

The home sale stats are in and the slight downward trend continued into September across all home types in London.

With another interest rate announcement scheduled for October 25, and the uncertainty of another potential increase, home buyers are still being cautious.

That being said, there are still many homes selling within a few days of being listed as sellers remain competitive with their pricing strategies.

Here are the latest trends in Home Sales for the city of London over the month of August. Not surprisingly, home sales and prices cooled a bit this month following the last 2 interest rate increases over the months of June and July. Also playing a factor is that typically this time of year sales slump a bit as home buyers and sellers take some downtime to enjoy the nice weather.
Surprisingly though, the sales of condominiums actually saw a slight increase in price that was just under $20k. Affordability of these types of properties most likely was the reason as condos are typically priced lower than freehold homes, and while they have monthly maintenance fees, overall these types of homes are sometimes a more affordable alternative as they have lower property taxes as well.
