And it's starting to look like a real building! We're excited to share updates from the construction site of the Khupkhahpay’ay building on Frances St in Vancouver. The first Intelligent City Envelope Panels were installed just a few days ago, showcasing the amazing basket weave design on its cladding.

We're excited to see this project taking shape over the summer, and thankful for our partners GBL Architects, Ventana Construction, Seagate Mass Timber, and of course, BC Housing and BC Indigenous Housing Society. Stay tuned for further updates!

Vancouver is leading Canada's push towards more affordable and sustainable housing! Two weeks ago, the City of Vancouver announces new incentives to promote mass timber buildings, offering additional height and floor area for mass timber high-rise buildings.

Mass timber enables more sustainable, affordable, and faster construction of housing. But most importantly, it advances the industrialization of housing production. Intelligent City developed scalable building systems around mass timber that can be adapted to project-specific design choices based on a shared product platform, enabling much faster design and delivery schedules. Vancouver advances mass timber adoption through new incentives - Construction Canada Vancouver is ramping up its commitment to sustainable construction with a new set of incentives aimed at promoting mass timber buildings.

Intelligent robots make wall panels for Vancouver Indigenous housing project Intelligent City, a Vancouver company that produces mass timber housing, has started using robots to produce Passive House panels at a factory.

Great news from the Federal Government: Canada announced it is investing $600m into technologies to manufacture housing at scale. The new policy is part of a larger plan from the Canadian Government, which has committed $23 billion to address housing shortages in Canada.
