Hey Golfers! Have you golfed at the amazing Bridges Golf Course in Starbuck? The beautiful course is Manitoba’s Most Popular Tournament Destination and it is located only 12 minutes west of McGillivray and Perimeter Highway! If you are looking for a new course to enjoy, you should check it out!

Today is the first day of the Miami Fair & Rodeo!! Here is the full schedule! There is a lot of fun to be had in Miami Manitoba this weekend!!

Miami Golf & Country Club is located just 60 minutes from Winnipeg's west perimeter on Highway 23. Their beautiful 9 hole course offers a variety of terrain with raised or hidden greens, elevated tee boxes, valleys and 90 degree dog legs. It has become one of the most scenic and challenging in the Pembina Hills area.

Step back in time at the Pembina Threshermen’s Museum in Winkler! Discover the rich history of farming and pioneer life with fascinating exhibits and vintage machinery. Enjoy interactive displays, historical buildings, and special events that bring the past to life. It's a perfect family outing to learn and have fun together!

If you are looking for something fun to do, check out the Treherne Northstars Belgian Bowling Tournament being held on June 22. All registrations need to be in by June 21. You can register by contacting Rylan or Cliff.

It is Golfing Season!! So we wanted to highlite a few of the amazing courses in Central Manitoba. The Minnewasta Golf and Country Club is located on the edge of the beautiful Pembina escarpment. It features naturally hilly terrain with various types of trees bordering the fairways. The Dead Horse Creek, which winds its way throughout the golf course, is a challenging and attractive feature of the area. Wildlife, which can be spotted throughout the course, add to the golf experience.

Explore the past at the Canadian Fossil Discovery Centre in Morden! See amazing dinosaur fossils up close and learn about prehistoric life. It's a fun adventure for all ages!

Pilot Mound is located in the Municipality of Louise approximately 60km west of the City of Morden. Pilot Mound has a population of about 700 people. The rolling landscape and nearby lakes provide excellent hunting and fishing, as well as summer and winter recreation for snowmobile, ATV, water-skiing, snow-skiing, boating, and cross-country skiing.

Looking for a new Golf Course to enjoy right here in Central Manitoba? How about the beautiful Oakview Golf & Country Club in Gretna.

This beautiful rural golf course is set in an old oak grove and was established in 1953. From its championship tees it measures in at 3218 yards over 9 holes and has many interesting challenges for golfers to explore.

A tribute to the survivors of the residential school system are celebrated on the grounds of a site that once housed one of these institutions. On the urban reserve lands of Keeshkeemaquah in Portage la Prairie, the Long Plain First Nation has erected a monument standing 25 meters (85 feel tall) with a 3.6 meter (12 foot) Golden Eagle perched atop. The symbol looks to the East to signify the beginning of a new day as the sun rises on today’s fresh start.

Montcalm Heritage Festival will be held on June 8 - 9. Celebrate St.Joseph’s agricultural heritage!
Fun-filled activities include: a pancake breakfast, visits of the museum, a parade, a petting zoo, and music by Manitoba artists. All activities are free.

The windmill and cheerful sign are unmistakable as they welcome you into the charming town of Holland, Manitoba. This is the perfect spot to soak up a bit of Dutch culture without leaving the province. Once you've taken a photo with the iconic windmill, take some time to explore the town's picturesque rolling hills and charming main street.

Did you know that the Norfolk Treherne Community Fly in Event is happening on June 2! You can fly in or drive in to the event! There is a shuttle service provided from the airport in Vintage Automobiles! How cool is that!? And While you are there, make sure to visit the Second chance car museum, the Treherne Museum and the Glass Bottle Buildings!

You'll know you've reached Glenboro when you spot Sara the Camel, situated at the intersection of Cochrane Street and Highway #2. Sara symbolizes the arid Spirit Sands found in Spruce Woods Provincial Park, located just six miles north of the town.

As you explore St. Claude, you might be taken aback by the sight of an enormous to***co pipe. However, this isn't a reflection of the local residents' preferences, but rather a statue honoring the early settlers who hailed from Saint-Claude, France—a place renowned for its pipe-making industry. This statue, now the second largest to***co pipe statue in the world, pays tribute to the town's roots and history.

Mark your calendars the Morden Family Resource Centre is hosting their Teddy Bear Picnic at the West side of Morden Park on June 1 from 11 am - 2 pm.

If you are looking for something to do in Central Manitoba, you may want to consider heading to Carman to tour the Dufferin Historical Museum. They are located right in the Beautiful King’s Park in Carman. This local community museum is committed to preserving local history and creating a space where history can be enjoyed by all ages. If you get the chance, make sure to check it out!

If you are looking for a golf tournament to join you will want to check out the Men’s Open at the Treherne Delahunt Golf and Country Club! The tournament will be on June 1st! They are also hosting the Senior Men’s tournament on June 13. Entry fee is $50, shotgun start at 10 am with cash prizes available!

The Roseisle rose statue, unveiled in 1991, commemorates the early settlers who inspired the town's name. Legend has it that the settlers named the town after spotting a small isle covered in roses emerging from the water after heavy rain—quite a fitting story, don't you think? The stunning statue was a collaborative effort between local welder Clifford McPherson and artist Stephen Jackson.

Have you enjoyed the Headingley Grand Trunk Trail yet in the RM of Cartier?

The Headingley Grand Trunk Trail is a 10 kilometer walking/biking trail following the route of the old Grand Trunk Pacific Railroad through the RM of Cartier to the West Perimeter of Winnipeg.

You can discover some of the Grand Trunk line's history, and see how the Headingley Grand Trunk Trail Association is reclaiming the past.

Fun Fact! The RM of St Francois is part of the Central Region as well as the Winnipeg Metro Region! It is home to the community of St Francois Xavier, which is the second oldest settlement in Manitoba!

Make sure to visit the statue of the White Horse when you enter the village along Highway 26. Steeped in local folklore, the prominent horse is a strong symbol of the rich cultural history of the municipality.
